What kind of accounting services do you provide?
My firm is full service. We can start up a business on QBO, close the monthly books like a controller, create financial statements for your lending institutions, prepare the corporate and individual taxes, and I can also consult on type of entity and tax elections. I have worked as a controller and CFO so other than having knowledge of accounting, I also have a complex set of skills to help owners and operaters go beyond the numbers to really look at their business.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
It is almost impossible to move forward and know what path to take if you do not understand the path you have been on. Many times, without good information and understanding where it is coming from, you might very well be going in circles and have walked that path before!
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to walk through concepts and provide real value and help. Not just where you've been, but where you want to go. I love looking beyond the numbers and what drives them. That's where the real value is, not in telling someone that they spend $3,456 dollars on Advertising, but in helping them understand the return on those advertising dollars and using guided discovery to determine if that was the best use of those dollars.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Always wanted to do so. Worked with many people along the way and at my last job, where I was working as a contractor, I felt I had obtained the last pieces I need to really try and help companies with multiple facets of their business.
Why should our clients choose you?
They should choose who they are comfortable talking to and can trust. No matter how smart each party is, if you have problems communicating and connecting, information just won't flow. So I am not going to tell people to choose me because I'm the smartest one out there, but they should choose me IF they think we can work well together and I have knowledge that can help them.
