Small and medium businesses are an incredibly important part of the economy, and the incredible diversity of ideas and aspirations is what makes my job so fascinating.

What inspired you to start your own business?
As a successful sales director for a range of software companies, I realised that I was in effect running my own internal business within my organisation. I enjoyed what I did, but I always craved the independence of working for myself.
I took the plunge in 2001, and started my own technology and business development consultancy. I haven’t looked back, and the experiences, successes and failures I have experienced help me understand what my clients are facing, and hopefully help them avoid some of the mistakes I made!
