First time for Italian Brunch! What fun...same great service with a twist on all you favorite plates. Highly suggest the Breakfast Bruschetta and Mateo's Breakfast Lasagna was killer! Bloody Mary or two didn't hurt either. Thanks for an enjoyable and tasty brunch. More...

Wonderful authentic Italian food in a neighborhood haunt. The tortellini was super good. The market had interesting food, too

The Baked Ziti is fantastic, and the pizza is HUGE! Every dish we tried is pretty heavy on the cheese. The vegetable lasagne tasted great, with a ton of cheese - but with that much cheese, more vegetable would be nice. On the whole, it was a very good meal. Casual and cozy with italian foodstuffs for sale, and very attentive staff. More...

I absolutely loved this place! There isn't a ton of parking but we didn't have an issue when we went. There is parking but I'm just not sure if it's plenty if the place gets really busy. The restaurant is adorable inside and they have an outdoor area. The food was delicious and the service was good. There is also a cute Italian market as well! I'd definitely recommend this place. Great giant slices of pizza. Â I tried the Pepperoni and the daily special meetball. Â Both were pretty good. Being a Chicago girl, I loved that their crust was much more Chicago-like (thin and crispy) than New York style (limp and foldable). My husband and I, both 60, were carded. Â He'd left his wallet with ID at home since I was driving. Â They refused to serve him.The law says there's no need to card anyone who looks over 50. Â We definitely do, and our children and friends were there with their legal IDs, yet they still wouldn't serve us.I'm all for being safe, but this was just looney-tunes crazy. Â It doesn't follow the letter of the law, just of some overly-officious manager. Â We had Cokes while the other had beer. Â Something's wrong with this pictures. Â So much for some relaxed socializing. Â We left the restaurant full, and full of sugar from the Coke, but a bit disgruntled overall. So, they lost mega-points for the extreme carding -- we're 60, for chrissakes, and I could prove it, and no one else carded us all weekend except in the one taproom we visited, so this is definitely not "a thing everywhere in Nashville" as our embarrassed kids asserted, but everything else was good. Coco's "Where locals eat and Italians shop", should be the motto. Affordable and varied menu calls to locals looking for a reasonably priced meal in Nashville. It seems these days that is as rare as a buffalo nickel! Bocce ball courts and in the summer outdoor seating. Off the hipster beaten path, worth a visit any night. More...

This place is amazing. My wife comes from an italian/rhode island family and it fulfilled a 12 year long quest for a 'real canoli'. The food is totally amazing and authentic. Hands down the best italian you can get in TN. The italian cookies were described as ok but that may be a difference in the technique her grandma used. Otherwise this place will make you feel like the food critique in ratatouille if you are italian or from up north. Just...amazing.... All the bad reviews are about service and not worth anything. If you are cooking for me like my italian grandmother you can take as long as you want. More...

First time visiting this place and I'm bummed that I've missed out on it the 27 years I've been here! The menu is overwhelming because of all of the yummy looking choices! I was very pleased that it was so descriptive to help people like me who do not know anything about Italian food. I read up on them on Yelp and knew exactly what I was getting when I arrived. We ordered the Caprese salad for an appetizer and it was great. The Mozzarella was so fresh. We ordered my 1 year old a grilled cheese and it came with TEN slices of cheese on it.. way too much for a 1 year old but tasted pretty good to the three of us. My boyfriend and friend ordered wine and they were surprised that it was only $8 a glass. I ordered the tampano, which I had never heard of before but it was delicious and would definitely get it again. After eating, we went to the gelato counter and got a few scoops to share- my server recommended the Nutella and the banana mixed and it was absolutely wonderful! We shopped around the market and got a frozen eggplant Parmesan meal and pesto cheese bread to take home. My daughter was getting fussy and we actually left the bread sitting on the counter in our rush to get out. We parked on the back side of the building and the lady manning the counter actually ran after us to give us our bread! Super kind of her to do that! We had a great experience and cannot wait to come back! More...
