Found this gem of a place whilst searching for touring parks in Wales. As we are new to caravaning, we didn't want to go to far from our home in Shrewsbury, but so glad we found this place as it is fantastic. On a arrival the system is so organised that you are guided to your pitch and even offer help to get you set up.Our pitch was a blocked paved hardstanding with a gravelled area for your awning and a grass surround overlooking the golf course.I forgot my tap adapter, but not a problem a freindly warden dropped me one off.The park wardens are great so freindly, with a cheery good morning even on the most miserable of days. They work so hard keeping the grounds and facility's immaculate. We would certainly return here for another stay.5 star resort and 5 star staff. Still here on site at the moment but I cannot rate Plassey high enough. The staff are so friendly and are always working hard to ensure the ground is kept clean, safe and happy. The indoor pool facilities are very clean, and closely monitored with a nice, comfortable seating area. We are on a Fairview pitch which are large, well kept, albeit a walk from the amenities on site, this isn't a hinderance for us as we enjoy lookong at the views. There is so much for children to do on site and the walking routes are stunning. The last few night the sunset has been beautiful and wildlife really does thrive here. Will 100% be returning. More...

Really nice site. We'll maintained. Warm welcome on arrival from the team. Quickly booked in and shown to our pitch (campervan). Good sized hard pitch with views across neighbouring farm land. Very nice. Can call staff if any problems 24hours a day (!). Good range of facilities on site from a range of shops, activities and coffee/ eating places as well as an indoor heated pool. Great pool. Well watched by staff. Went with grandaughter for two days and plenty for her to do. Showers were not quite as good as other sites we've been to but no real is due and would definitely stay here again More...

what a fantastic place. killer breakfast and course I rate the course just as good as Augusta which I played in 1993 when my old mate langer took the lead from myself on the 3rd round 7th hole. Man that hole... really caught me of guard. I tried a big flop shot but Instead I ended up making a 5. speaking of flops. you should see the flop on my mate George. it's like a 58 degree wedge snapped in half. More...

We booked a hard standing pitch with EHU.Location of our pitch was a little odd on the corner of two paths but on the plus side was close to toilet/shower block. Felt a lack of privacy. This may have been due to visiting out of main season so everything wasn't in full bloom.Allowed to have BBQ but no fire. The facilities were immaculate, heated and very clean. Showers were great with hot water. Great pot wash area.Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The site was well maintained and tidy.Nice woodland walk. The retail area was disappointing as not many units were open, not sure if that's due to visiting on a Sunday and before the main season starts. We felt this is definitely best suited as a family orientated location.Excellent value for money and use of swimming pool also included. Just got back from a long weekend at the Plassey celebrating a big birthday. Between us we had 2 studio lodges and 1 glamping tent. Fantastic weather was an extra bonus. It was expensive, but on arrival I could see why, the quality of everything was just first class, and the service and attention from the many staff was beyond excellent. The site just has a wonderful feel about it.An issue that we were not even aware of before we even checked in had been resolved in a superb manner, (we wouldn't of even known if reception hadn't mentioned it) this was exceptional service that I can't imagine getting elsewhere. The glamping tent is a huge, stylish quirky accommodation that you simply can not imagine to be so so good. The lodges are exceptionally well fitted and I can't believe how well maintained (they were like new). The service on the hot tubs is like I have never known before with 3 chemical checks per day on every single one of them. Amazing.I do have one observation though, certainly not a criticism, the high end fixtures and fittings are too complicated. I'm a techy person but couldn't fathom out the heating, the electric fire or the oven (there were print offs to help, which in itself tells a story). Similar with the in-laws and they are tech wizards. It comes to something when you are way too hot in November and want to turn the heating off. Then things would spring into life on their own. Instead of being impressed by the smart functionality I just found it frustrating. So advice to the team would be when things need replacing go cheaper and simpler.Anyway to sum up, if you are considering either the lodges or studios at the Plassey, don't hesitate. Just book it and have a really wonderful time. We will 100% be back, just need another big occasion as an excuse to go.Huge thanks to the management and staff. More...

The views overlooking the golf course from our deluxe pitch were an added bonus. Bit of a walk for the water and bins but the site staff do collect rubbish from your pitch when passing. Site facilities all well kept, nice and clean. I personally would have liked to have seen more shower and toilet units, because they were busy and I had to queue. But it was peak season (Aug 22). Onsite bar and restaurant really nice, food tasty and not too expensive. Shop also well stocked. Lots of other facilities on site, which we didn't use, pool looked lovely tho. Fabulous views. Let’s start at the beginning, the road approaching the site is quite narrow for large vehicles but once on the site grounds the driveway and entry gate are more than big enough, even for a 15m long American RV and trailer combo. First tick,We were met with a warm welcome at reception, quite relaxed and not officious at all like some sites can be. Tick number 2.We were offered an escort to our pitch by one of the wardens however we preferred to walk and have a look at the approach and the pitch first, making sure our big bottomed vehicle could get in. No issues leaving the RV in the check in lane while we did so. Tick number 3.The pitch? Perfect. Hardstanding block paved area, gravel area for awnings and a further grass area. Tick number 4I haven't even got to our favourite bit yet. There is a nature walk around the perimeter of the site and some local fields which is about 2 miles and very pleasant. Tick number 5Now the best bit…. …but just before I get onto it…. …one of the wardens, Ben, has such a great demeanour, very helpful and approachable and he even let me play golf with him when I cheekily asked to join him. Great asset to the park.Which brings me to the best bit. The 9 hole golf course and clubhouse appears to be a local hub for members and visitors alike. Mel, the club supervisor/manager was fantastic, she is really kind and welcoming (can you see a trend here) and as a golfer myself I literally spent every day of our 5 day break on or around the course and clubhouse. The golf course is short but still challenging but it wasn’t just that which drew me back each day, Mel and her team were a pleasure to be around. What topped this visit off for me was a very kind and generous invitation to play in the mixed event for Lady Captains day. My golf was bad but the party afterwards was brilliant. We often say while away that it takes something really special for us to return somewhere because there are so many places to try, however, we will be returning to The Plassey and also recommending it to our friends.Wherever we go we always explore the area, especially for walks but this time, we didn’t leave site once. For a short 5 day break Plassey has everything you need. Thanks John and Sarah and all your extended team, keep up the good work. More...

Sorry for my original 1* review, i must of pressed it by accident when i was about to write my review yesterday but then got side tracked. With Regards to the camping and caravan site, it was brilliant. The facilities are very well looked after and clean. The staff are a credit and are very polite and helpful. If i could rate the entertainment/golf club separately i would give it 0 stars. they advertised for live music (which didn't show up, and the manager said the DJ would arrive early at 4 which also never happened) and a BBQ with DJ on the caravan park which accommodates hundreds of people but the golf club itself is only built for around 100 people maximum. They put the time and effort in for setting up a tent for the BBQ which would effectively be making them money, but did not even think about where people would sit. The bar didn't accept cash and wouldn't take any orders, they said it was table service only, but obviously we didn't have a table, once we managed to get a table we ordered the drinks and it took around 50 minutes for them to arrive. I felt sorry for the two girls who were running around taking orders and trying there best to deliver them back to the tables and also take other orders at he same time. massively understaffed and unorganised. The BLK sheep was a much better set up and the live music on the Friday night was brilliant and i would highly recommend this place for the food. The campsite and toilets etc are fantastic. The golf however is not.Booked a tee time at 9am this morning only to be told we need a bag each and the only spare one they have was out which tells you alot of people turned up at a campsite golf course with minimal gear . Also how does this encourage youngsters and beginners. You could at least buy 10 bags to let out even second hand one would do . Perhaps the manager never goes camping and realise that space is a premium when you go.So what I thought was going to be a good morning with my daughter playing golf together was ruined by silly rules a d poor poor management .
