Played Ironhorse golf club and had an enjoyable round of golf. The course is spread out and amongst houses in the community. There are lots of interesting and challenging holes with a variety of different terrain and water features. I played this course in late October and it was pretty well maintained. There were a few spots where there were drainage issues including a couple of sand traps that were filled with water.The course design does not take you by the club house after the first nine, but instead they have converted and old caboose into a spot to get a beer and a hot dog. There was also a beverage cart service that we saw twice during the round.The name "Ironhorse" comes from the trains that come through this area. Went 18 holes. When we went it was cold/windy and pretty dead. Course is well maintained, fairly tight, a nice layout with a good variety of holes. I used rental clubs, newer Callaways in good condition. Club rental comes with three balls and a handful of tees. I bought an extra set of balls, which was good because I wouldn't have made 18 with three! Lots of water that look good from a distance though most of the time the water hazards are fairly gross drainage ditches. A few places on the course were fairly smelly as well. More...

First time playing here. Friday, 3pm tee time. Not alot of people going off the 1st tee so pace of play was great. We weren't pushed or held up the whole round. Tight course! Trees are in play on basically the course. I feel like the back nine was easier. I left the driver in the bag for most the round. The greens were good, I putted very well. My only complaint is the trash in the native/water areas. I've have seen that at Whitestone, Hawks Creek, and now here.. Not sure if it's because it's funneling in from the city It just takes a little away from the experience and beauty of the course. Overall, enjoyed the round and weather! Love golfing in the fall. Well I havent been to the golf course but near the property access ed by thier parking lot is North Richland Hills Prayer Gardens is a small trail that with benches woodsy and more you have to see I go here at least three times a week for prayer alone time with God its peaceful must walk the whole trail
