Great gym, does get extremely busy but it's not the gyms fault. I appreciate this gym because there hasnt been one this close to me with the equipment pure gym has. I was very surprised to see rings as a lot of other pure gyms don't have rings that you can use for calisthenics, was really happy to see this. There is also tons of squat racks which Is very convenient. I will say there needs to be access to tissue/antibacterial to wipe machines/dumbells as I'm sure the gym can implement this as it seems to be doing well. And I personally am not a big fan of the males changing room taps being so close to the basin as when I'm washing my hands because I have big hands, it touches the basin, kinda making washing pointless. If these two things weren't an issue I would give 5 stars. I hear complaints regarding people "hogging" machines etc but in reality instead of complaining why don't you gather confidence and ask the people if you can join in. With such a busy gym you can't expect everything to work your way. Finally I will conclude saying If your someone looking for a more smooth experience, getting all the machines you want, without being crowded, perhaps this gym isn't for you but if your willing to use the app and go at times that are less busy or have the confidence to join with other people then this gym will be fine as the equipment should meet 99% of people's needs and the price for the gym is reasonable for most people. the big guy working at the gym with tattoos all over his face and body is very rude and high ego. He seemed like a nice person but i was asking him a question politely then he turned his head to me slowly and looked at me upisde down and then looked away and replied "no" in a very rude tone as if i look disgusting or something. If he doesnt like his job, he should find somewhere else. I want to make a complaint about him because i felt im unwelcomed in the place due to his rude attitude. He seemed a nice person as i said before talking to him, but now i need explanation why this rude attitude and tone and this super ego? What is wrong with me? why im not welcomed? Instead of saying to me with a smile ""Yes, how can i help you?" When this gym opened i loved it and honestly I enjoyed going here than The one in canningtown . I stopped going for a while due to some staff members being very rude not so helpful! Went back to it again because it more closer to me but once again The staff memebrs not so helpful and rude. It only takes one sec to be nice to your customers . I don't normally write reviews. But I usually keep myself in gym do my workouts and go. Gym equipment is great. Atmosphere and certain staff not so great. Customer service is non existent to some staff, what highlighted the most for me was the lack of interest when I made a query. Please, it dont cost to smile or shows a slight bit of interest when a customer approaches you. That one experience made me feel whats was pount of me asking anything. It bewilders me that there is a gym with no paper towels and surface sanitizer sprays. There is nothing to wipe down equipment and staff say the gym no longer provides cleaning products… You can expect sweat drenched unhygienic equipment.

An otherwise good gym let down by complete lack of hygiene and cleanliness. Please don’t reply with the copy and paste answer about relaxed Covid-19 restrictions or reducing paper towel waste - providing cleaning supplies on the gym floor is the absolute bare minimum for any gym and all of your other locations I use on a weekly basis provide them.

I am extremely disappointed with the hygienic standards and maintenance at PureGym Stratford. The gym lacks basic cleanliness, with gym-goers sweating on machines without cleaning them, while the absence of provided towels raises concerns about hygiene. Multiple machines are out of order, limiting workout options and causing inconvenience. Additionally, amenities such as doors, urinals, and taps are frequently malfunctioning. There is no coverage or Wi-Fi in the gym, making it impossible to use the exercise app for recording or accessing exercises effectively. The lack of coverage and Wi-Fi throughout the gym hinders the app's usability. Additionally, the man' showers are consistently dirty with hair.
