What do you love most about your job?
I simply love helping customers, no matter how small. It's a great feeling when we can make a real difference to our clients, whether it be just saving them money or helping to make life easier and their processes smoother.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Here at Invoco we do things differently to other providers in our industry. I've been working in the telecoms industry for over 25 years, many of which were spent working for the big telecom companies, so it wasn't until I set up Invoco in 2002 that I experienced what it was like to be a business customer on the other side of the fence. Talk about frustrating! Slow to respond. Expensive. Locked into inflexible, long-term contracts. And poor customer service to boot!
Exactly what a startup business doesn't need. And unfortunately, things are still the same now. So after years of providing systems to other telecoms companies and getting exasperated at how they were letting down their customers, we decided we would try and do things differently. Really differently. My aim was simple: to create the kind of telecom company that I would want to be a customer of. It would have great customer service (obviously!) with no off-shore call centres. It would offer flexible contract-free services so I only paid for what I needed, when I needed it, so the service could grow with my business. Oh, and it would also give small businesses the kind of services that the big corporates use in their businesses such as advanced call management, call recording, CRM integrations, online dashboards, sales leaderboards etc., so my business could be more productive and most importantly, serve our
customers better.
And I'm proud to say that's exactly what we've achieved here at Invoco. I truly believe that we're setting the standard for what a 21st Century telecoms company should look like for small businesses.

Virtual Numbers
A virtual telephone number is a number which isn’t linked to a telephone line. When someone calls your virtual number the call goes through to our data centre and then out to whichever phone you’ve directed it to, whether that’s a landline, mobile or VoIP device. This all happens in an instant so your caller will have no idea they’re calling a virtual number.
If you’re running a small business, a virtual number is a great way to give yourself a more professional image, rather than using a mobile or home phone number.
For SMEs or global organisations, virtual numbers allow you to promote a local presence in the UK without having to physically be in that location. You can run a “London office” with an 02 telephone number, wherever you happen to be based. Virtual numbers are ultra flexible – you can divert calls instantly to a telephone number of your choice. What is call tracking?
"Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted... the trouble is I don't know which half!"
In the 1930's when this quote was first coined, it was valid. But these days there is a great tool that allows us to get a good handle on how our advertising is performing.....call tracking numbers. Call tracking is a simple service that allows you to track and monitor how many calls you receive from each individual advert or piece of marketing you do.
How does call tracking work?
It's really simple. It can be set up in three easy steps and it only takes minutes:
1. Choose a set of new telephone numbers.
2. Point the new numbers at your existing phone number using our online dashboard. Don't worry, nothing changes on your existing phone lines, you'll still receive calls from your existing customers on your normal business number.
3. Now you give every advert, every bit of marketing, a unique telephone number. For example, one number for your business cards, one for your website, one for an advert in the local newspaper, one in Yellow Pages and so on.....
And you're done. Everything else stays the same. You continue to receive calls on your existing phone as normal and you answer it in the same way.
