Moo Jae was by far the best hire that we made out of all our vendors. He really took the time to get to know us, our bridal party, and making us comfortable in front of his camera. We’re so happy that he has such a light-hearted nature, an attention to detail, and a willingness to go above and beyond the norm. When all the other vendors had finished and left, Moo Jae was still standing right beside us. I chose Moo Jae originally because I loved his style of photography; it was candid, natural, and his attention to lighting and angles had the touch that I was looking for. I was extremely selective because I myself work in the creative field and work with photographers all the time. Moo Jae delivered–he shot all our events, including our engagement photos, our civil marriage, and the big ceremony, 3 separate events in total. By the end of it all, he felt like he was part of our family, and when we got the photos they are absolutely stunning. Moo Jae is really able to capture the magic of the moment; the laughs and tears during those few seconds of intense emotion, the look in people’s eyes, the dance faces when the dance floor is let loose–he's so adept to finding all those little gems during the day that no one else may notice, and that is one of the many reasons why he was our hire. Long story short (because brevity is not my strong suit): Moo Jae was one of our absolute favorite vendors to work with. He went beyond his call of duty before, during and after our wedding day (and he was seriously just a pleasure to hang with for 10 hours on the happiest day of our lives). I can’t recommend him highly enough. The extended cut: When we met with Moo Jae, we were sold. He’s incredibly chill, authentic and just has an all-around good vibe. We knew we loved his work, but we also wanted to choose someone we’d enjoy spending our whole wedding day with; Moo Jae fit the bill and then some. We were drawn to Moo Jae's work because he truly has an exceptional eye for detail, beauty and emotion. We really wanted the emotion, action and little-moments-we-hadn’t-even-realized-happened captured. On our wedding day, he brought his good vibes and keen eye — and other than that, was very non-obstructive. I truly forgot we were being followed around the whole day/night. Moo Jae was FABULOUS! When I was initially looking for photographers, I was sending out quote request to many people. He was one that called me right away and was up-front and honest about things I should be looking for in a photographer, whether or not I had looked at his portfolio to make sure our styles matched, etc. After our conversation, he even sent me a link to an article regarding things to consider when choosing a photographer. I felt zero pressure from him to go with him and it honestly felt like he just had my best interest at heart. I looked through his portfolio in more depth after our phone conversation and still loved what I saw so I set up an engagement session with him. He was on time, professional and laid back, all at the same time. I immediately felt comfortable with him and he was even able to get my shy fiancé to open up a bit. In addition, my 10-year-old son absolutely fell in love with him and told us afterwards that he “loved people like that” and that he wanted him to hang out with us in Portland after the session was over. Moo Jae is well acquainted with the city of Portland so it was so nice to have him guide us through the city. He even looked up the time that the sun would set and scheduled our appointment in such a way that we would “chase the sun” through the city and then end with a setting sun down by the water. It was amazing to watch how he used the natural sunlight to make our pictures look so romantic, whimsical and classy. We hired Moo and his wonderful wife, Jinhee for our August wedding in NYC and my husband and I could not be happier with their work. They are truly the photos we dreamed of and they could not have been more terrific people. Our ceremony and reception happened in Manhattan with a pit stop in Washington Square Park for pictures. Anyone who lives in the city knows just how hard it can be to navigate the city with it's infinite number of people but I was SO IMPRESSED at how effortlessly Moo was able to glide us through the throngs of humanity to take the most stunning photographs. He asked for our input throughout the entire day to make sure we were comfortable and not overwhelmed. His photo journalistic style meant that I never once felt that he was invading our space, or our guests. He captured beautiful and spontaneous moments without us having any idea he was there. I am absolutely in love with our wedding video. We hired Moo Jae as our videographer and it was such a great decision! From the beginning, we really clicked, his easy and honest personality was wonderful for a busy planning bride.
He communicated and answered all of our questions really quickly. We were originally on the fence on adding a video in addition to photos, but I am forever grateful that we did. It is such a beautiful memory to share and to have. The way Moo edited our film, it perfectly captured our day and brought emotional tears to both of eyes when we watch it.
On the day of, he arrived early and seamlessly blended in. I did not have to worry about him and his assistant at all. He worked easily with our photographer and did not interfere with the day at all.
We also added a drone which really captured the beautiful mountains and set the scene for our venue which was really important for us.
I would without any hesitation recommend Intothestory for any of your wedding needs, they really did an amazing job!

My husband including me are very nervous people but one thing we knew for sure was that we required Lenny with his team to take our wedding pictures. They were the first vendor we booked which was the best choice! Their work delivers for itself- all of their work is completely superb. Lenny and Don are the winsome peoples secured us feel so happy being ourselves since the first day we stepped into their office. Lenny customized our package. Where we were able to have an engagement photo shoot before the marriage this really helped us get more comfortable having our photographs taken. They had us smiling the entire time! Our characters were captured in every picture, from the engagement shoot to the wedding pictures every shot was special and creative. Lenny works with you and is in constant communication we received our proofs just days after the engagement shoot and wedding!
