Interior Define - Hayes Valley, San Francisco

I was hesitant to order dining chairs online without ever having tested them out but when I found myself in SF (I live across the country) a few weeks ago, I popped into the Interior Define store after stalking the chairs on the website for months and decided to purchase! Angela couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating; she helped me narrow down fabric options, sent me swatches, helped me choose which chair leg option to go with after I sent her pictures of my other furniture, and kept in touch by email for three weeks as we waited for the Black Friday sale to go public. 11/20/2018 - Was cruising around SF on electric skateboards with a good friend of mine until he took a spill right in front of the store. We were welcomed in by a lady who offered to help my friend patch up his cuts. Although my friend and I did not purchase anything from here, the assistance that she offered immediately after my friend's accident stood out to me. We need more people like that in this world.My sincerest apologies for not recalling your name, and the name of the man behind the counter. All I can say is Angela is amazing! She has been so patient while I have been deciding on color/material. She is very prompt at responding and goes above and beyond! It has been a few weeks of communication between us (sorry Angela!), but I finally placed my order today. Just finished the purchase process on a new sectional with Angela and it couldn't have been easier or more pleasant. No hidden fees, came out to be less than the original quote. I got the Jasper and can't wait for it to be delivered. Swatches in store are enormous which is perfect for really visualizing the look. So excited to have an Interior Define store open in San Francisco.  Looking for a sectional and was happy to find their website and learn that we could customize a sectional with the perfect dimensions to fit our room.  But didn't feel confident about ordering a sectional without sitting on it first to see how comfortable it was.  Waited for the San Francisco store to open so we could seem their selections in person and it was well worth the wait. The furniture was super comfortable and the customer service was excellent. We worked with Angela who was super knowledgeable and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted.  She kept in touch be email and answered all questions that came up for us.  we're ordering our sectional from this store and can't wait.  Also the prices are very reasonable.  We will definitely be keeping this store in mind for future furniture purchases. After visiting several furniture stores and a lot of online research, we walked into Interior Define and knew it was the place we wanted to get our couch from. The customer service was amazing (shout out to Angela) - the experience was super seamless and we loved being able to pick out all the details for the couch. Love my Maxwell sofa. It is absolutely the nicest sofa I've owned. The mod micro, oyster fabric is a perfect soft silver. Just gorgeous, kinda contemporary but with classic details . Super comfy. Love that fact that leg style can also be customized. Only bump in the road was that the dimensions were not as advertised. Most troubling is that it's lower than expected. But ID did a great job discussing it with me. They absolutely stand behind their merchandise. Ordering process was smooth and pleasant. Wait time after ordering was as advertised. Communication was great. Overall I'm super impressed with ID. And I'm confident I couldn't have found a nicer affordable sofa elsewhere. More...

Absolutely the best on-line source for custom sofas and sectionals! High quality products and materials at a very reasonable price with terrific service. Ordered a four piece sectional in leather made to specific measurements and requested extra down/feather for firmer seating. More than happy with what we received and the service. I could not be happier with my new sofa! The staff at Interior Define made it such a smooth and easy process – including helping me decide on fabrics for hours and hours. I ended up going with the Maxwell in Sapphire velvet and it is stunning! The cushions are plush and very comfortable; yet firm enough to hold their shape. We purchased a customized Sloan sofa along with two swivel chairs. I LOVE them!! Our sofa is extremely comfortable and beautiful! We couldn't be any happier with our pieces! We remodeled our home and wanted pieces that reflected our personalities and needs (we have three kids so we wanted to make sure the couch fit our entire family comfortably and something that can withstand the wear and tear)....ID delivered exactly what we wanted/needed.

So excited! Today my beautiful new "Sloan Chair and Ottoman " was delivered. I absolutely love this chair. First of all the fabric is a very rich deep charcoal velvet, so cozy for the bedroom in which I have it. The design of the chair is very modern and sleek. There are many different leg styles and finishes to choose from. I chose the cylindrical brass legs and am so happy with my choice. The chair is very comfortable . The cushions are comfortable yet firm so they will hold their shape for many years to come. I can hardly wait to curl up in this chair with a good book and a glass of wine . Interior Define was so easy to work with . They helped me to choose all the right components for my custom chair and ottoman. Interior Define has excellent customer service . They kept me informed of my chair's progress both in manufacturing and delivery. I knew exactly when I could expect delivery and it was right on time. Included with my chair and ottoman was a complimentary pillow which is high quality and attractive. Interior Define is a game changer! We stopped by their store a few weeks ago and only wish we would have found out about them sooner! They have fantastic customer service and they are extremely quick on getting back with you. Usually you have to design a room around a couch but now you can design the couch around your room!

What a great company! I ordered three sofas. I called them with lots of questions before ordering and they answered everything giving me detailed descriptions. The quality of the furniture is wonderful. Delivery was delayed little due to the West coast port strike and Interior Define sent me a handwritten note apologizing and giving me updated delivery information. If and when I'm in the market for furniture again I will definitely use them and I haven't hesitated to recommend them to my friends. More...

I had a wonderful experience with Interior Define. I ended up ordering the Sloan in heavy cloth graphite. It turned out the exact sofa I wanted they already had in California, so I was able to get my sofa a fair bit quicker than would be typical. Lucky me! I have no doubt though that I would've been incredibly happy even with the full wait. Upon receiving the product I was amazed at how well built it is, how comfortable it is, and how great it looked in my apartment. I ordered the Russell in charcoal for my loft in Denver. I wasn't in a rush to get it so I didn't mind waiting the 10-12 week lead-time and I must say, it was well worth the wait! The quality of this piece is OUTSTANDING. A down filled sofa of this size & quality would typically cost between $5,000-$8,000. I know this because I've been an interior design for the past 10 years. The fact that there was no delivery fee to boot?! I'm telling all my friends because this is by the far the very best quality & value I've ever seen for a sofa manufacturer. I couldn't recommend Interior Define more. We ordered a sofa and chair, both of which we were able to customize to our specifications at an incredibly reasonable price. The quality was top notch and what you would expect from a very high end retailer. Their customer service was also fantastic and they not only helped us with the selection process, but were flexible and responsive with our (several) additional requests. They even let us take swatches of the materials home so we could order coordinating pieces as well. They kept us updated throughout the wait time, and delivery was not only free, but very convenient and friendly. In addition to all of this, there is a 365 day return policy which is UNHEARD of in the furniture business, particularly with special orders. I highly doubt we will need to utilize it but its nice to know we have the option, especially when its hard to really picture something in your home until it is actually there. My only complaint is that they only have living room furniture right now but hopefully as they grow, other rooms will be added. A+++ More...

We ordered two sofas for our office from I.D. and though they took a while to arrive (remember, each piece is made-to-order, they're not just sitting in a warehouse someplace) we were so pleased when they did. Not only are the sofas great quality, they're as beautiful as we'd anticipated. As our delivery date got closer, I.D. was communicative about the expected delivery dates and had contracted with an excellent delivery company (in the Los Angeles area), which was an added bonus.
