I'm currently in the HVAC program here. I think the program is good, Instructors are knowledgeable and have worked in the field so they do share a lot of real-world experience with the students. I think the school gets a bad rap mainly because the only people that write reviews are people that are dissatisfied. I do think the school needs to invest in some new trainers/equipment and the classrooms are a bit tight because of the large number of student (all carrying a ton of tools), but all in all it hasn't been a bad experience. You get out of it what you put into it. More...

It really is like a little family. We laugh, joke, pick on, and, yes, even fight like a family. Management is very supportive. Always reminding you of their support and if you happen to lose track of the work/home life balance. Initially the split hours seem like they are uncool, but when you take into account that it is only 4 days and you can run errands in the middle of the day, it actually makes for a really cool job schedule. It is hard work, but at the end of the day you get to go home knowing that you not only impacted the lives of your students, but get to send them out into the world to further impact other lives. It is a very rewarding career.Pros Impact on student lives, and discounted services with cosmo and massageCons Can get stressful at time and challenging More...

to all the former students that attended intellitec and failed it was no one else's fault but your own for being late or leaving early or not getting a grasp on the information. Most students take an interest in the field they want to be in before they go to college. that being said I went to night classes and I had a blast I worked in the field before I went to intellitec so I had a basic understanding of how things work. the information wasn't hard to get if you were in class. I now manage a commercial tire shop owned by Michelin North America.

wow after reading some of these reviews I see that a lot of people apparently weren't ready to go to college so here are a few words of advise don't enroll unless your ready to adjust your schedule for school and certainly don't enroll if your lazy and trying to leach off of tax payer dollars

Typical day at work consists of classroom preparation. greeting students, providing an exciting classroom experience, inputting attendance and daily grades into the grade books. Learned about the ACCSC accreditation process and what some of the paperwork from a program department consists of. Learned how to communicate effectively with students.Management was usually fair in assessments and training. Direct management was easy to find and talk to. Co-Workers are IT professional teachers as well. They were easy to get along with and are usually willing to answer questions and help complete assigned departmental tasks.Constant changes that affect the flow of teaching. Once we get used to a method of teaching in the classroom, changes are made that make the teacher have to change the teaching methods or grading process. Sometimes there appears to be a disconnect between corporate goals and the departmental goals and the individual teacher goals. There is not a very effective method to share goals other than this is a policy change, make it work.I enjoy teaching and helping students learn. I graduated from Intellitec College 2315 East Pikes Peak Ave Colorado Springs Co. 80909 in May of 2011 I have completed my A+ certification while I have not gone on to the Administration side of the computer industry in my case it was by design. I love machines and fixing computers this is the reason I got started with computer systems in 2005. I had not touched a computer before that time and now thanks to Intellitec I can't make it through a day without fixing tuning or doing something to improve a system. I was so nervous about going back to school as I was afraid that I would be out of place or that the classes that I had already taken would not be adequate and I might look well dumb. This never happened because of the staff support they worked together to motivate me in a positive way. I could always count on one of the instructors to help, or take time for one on one study time needed to understand the curriculum. My experience with Intellitec College will be a memorable one I have made life time friends with both staff and students. I am well on my way to becoming the Technician that I started out to be when I enrolled with Intellitec College. You would be doing yourself and your family a favor by going to school here to jettison yourself on to new heights in your Computer Technology Career of course I am partial to the Computer department their Auto and HVAC departments are of the finest in Colorado as well. One more thing the lady who helps with your job placement works tirelessly to get all of the graduates into a career and is adept with resume techniques that will keep you in tune to the changing times. She made an impact on me as an instructor and as a friend now she can and does find places to use your new talents in the work place.  Andrew Sample Computer Technician More...
