Acupuncture originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This is the method of treatment whose history dates back more than 5000 years and which is still used today. Unlike intramuscular manual therapy, acupuncture is based on the idea of “body meridians” or energy flows, and works at the system level, affecting local and specified points. It is based on the use of needles, their length, direction and stimulation. ATTENTION!!! All the used needles are disposable and are used only once. Effects of acupuncture Deoxidation and strengthening the immune system Relaxation of soft tissues Removes edemas and inflammations Improves metabolism and circulation of fluids Relieves stress, swelling and tumors Recovers the texture and functionality of muscles and ligaments Relaxation of the nervous system and neuromuscular return
Low back pain, often triggered by twisting or lifting awkwardly, is the most frequent problem, and probably the type of pain that people most often associate with osteopathy. The tissues have not healed properly and have formed a painful area of inflammation. The pain often becomes worse after strenuous activity and at night. To prevent further injury the muscles become tight, causing stiffness. Osteopathy can help with both the pain and the stiffness. However, any properly registered osteopath will tell you, following an initial consultation, whether some other form of treatment might be better. The osteopath may also caution that some conditions may be greatly eased but not eliminated - for example, severe damage to joints cannot be reversed.
Cetuem Myo-Gel Ice Pack Cetuem Myo-Gel Ice Pack contains natural camphor, menthol, spearmint oil, allantoin and pure aloe vera. It has a pleasant spearmint aroma which naturally evaporates cooling tissue that is swollen and inflamed. By this process the pain eases allowing tissues to move more easily. How Cetuem Myo-Gel works: With any sprain, strain or bruise there is some bleeding into the underlying tissues. This may cause swelling, pain and delay healing. Cetuem Myo-Gel Ice Pack treatment may be used in both the immediate treatment of soft tissue injuries and in later rehabilitation. The aim is to limit the body’s response to tissue injury. Hence Cetuem Myo-Gel Ice Pack will: Reduce bleeding into tissues. Prevent or reduce swelling. Reduce muscle spasm & pain. Reduces pain by numbing the area. Limits the effects of swelling. These effects all help to prevent the area from becoming stiff by reducing excess tissue fluid that gathers as a result of injury and inflammation. Can be used as a coupling gel with all leading ultra sound machines.
