What do you love most about your job?
I love creating and leading ceremonies.
In creating weddings and handfastings it is just wonderful to be able to work with couples to help them to express their love for each other in a way that is completely unique to them.
Writing funeral ceremonies is very different from wedding ceremonies but it is an honour to be able to help relatives and friends to create a farewell which fully expresses the life and personality of their loved one.
What inspired you to start your own business?
During my training as an Interfaith Minister, writing ceremonies was my favourite part of the course and once I had finished I knew that I wanted to be able write special occasion ceremonies for anyone who asked me. Starting my own business was the best way to do this. And I chose the name Inner Radiance because I believe that we all have an internal radiance that comes through very strongly during a ceremony or ritual.
Why should our clients choose you?
I work hard to ensure that every detail of a ceremony is exactly as you would like it; making sure to stay in regular contact to communicate about the content of a ceremony, about the details of guests and and venue, colour schemes, etc. Once the ceremony is written I create an A4 handcrafted book which contains the ceremony and also has space for photos, so that it becomes a special keepsake of the day which can be treasured.
