This is our second straight year staying at the Inn on the Beach.  Room is comfortable and a hop/skip to the beach.  Breakfast room overlooks the beach making a great start to the day.  Downtown Harwich Port is a 5-10 minute walk.  There are good restaurants and gift shops.  Stephanie and her support staff are the best. You cannot go wrong staying here! More...

The Inn seems to be a somewhat hidden gem. Rooms are small but spotless and well cared for as are the grounds. It was cool that my room had a private patio outback. The nice sized community deck with comfy seating and fire pits allowed a gentle transition from beach time to bedtime. The continental breakfast was just right! I really enjoyed my experience. I’ll be back! More...

Just completed a 4 night stay which was near the venue for our daughters wedding nearby. Our first time here and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Stephanie and staff were great.  The rooms were small but very clean and fit the purpose for a beach vacation.  The grounds and location are why you would stay in addition to great staff.  Deck with comfy chairs and a few fire pits plus chairs and umbrellas for the beach.  Continental breakfast great if you want something lite.  Muffins my favorite. Perfect location for low key beach vacation. We will go back. More...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 days in July. The price was great considering the beachfront property. The customer service was also incredible. We did not go without anything. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly including the owner himself. We loved the location. It is right in the middle of the cape so we weren't far from Hyannis to go to a concert at the Cape Cod Melody tent. The Inn is also located really close to the town which has restaurants bars and shops. You can walk into town it's very close but there's not a sidewalk so we didn't feel safe on the Main Street.  The one negative is that the town closes very early .  You can't get dinner past eight or nine. Most places closed very early which was disappointing to us.We love the outdoor patio and the fire pit tables. It was also a nice touch to have lawn chairs on the beach dedicated to the guests. The room was extremely small. My husband and I could not walk around each other. One of us had to sit on the bed to get around each other. It's that small! However it doesn't matter because the location was incredible and we didn't care about the room size because we were there for the location. The room was clean and we had everything that we needed. The beach is very calm almost more like a lake with no waves. The weather was still pretty chilly even mid-july.Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch but it was very basic. My husband and I ended up going out to breakfast each morning instead of having the mostly continental breakfast there. But again it doesn't matter it was still worth the price the location was incredible the service was great! The place is absolutely beautiful. You can tell that the owners really care about the end and take excellent care of the property. We would stay here again should we find ourselves visiting the cape. More...

What a beautiful and quaint inn right on Harwich Beach in Cape Cod. We came here for a wedding and the manager, Stephanie could not have been more accommodating. She welcomed us with open arms and made sure our whole stay was up to our liking. I'm so glad our friends got room blocks for the whole inn and we got to spend the wedding weekend with friends on a beautiful beach. The weather was a bit chilly, but it did not stop us from sitting on the beach. They have complimentary chairs to sit on and a breakfast that is just superb! They rotated between a homemade frittata and a French toast bake. It was walking distance to the main block and not too far of a drive from the other main beaches and towns. I can't wait to come back to visit ! More...

This was our first stay at the Inn on the Beach.  Manager Stephanie Marques greeted us upon our arrival.  She was wonderful and made us feel at home.  She showed us around the Inn and explained everything to use about the continental breakfast and the fire pits, the deck area and the beach.  Also from this Inn it is walking distance to the downtown which is very nice.  Our room was great and a view of the ocean and the beach.  We will be back and the staff was also very good. We stayed at inn on the beach for a wedding weekend and we can't praise it enough!! The rooms were quaint with a private porch. Only slight inconvenience would be the small bathroom but honestly we weren't in the room as much so it wasn't an issue. Stephanie runs a fantastic staff and establishment! Wonderful experience here and right on the beach! Highly recommend! More...

The Inn the beach used to be the Sandpiper Court back in the early 80's. My husband and I have been going back every summer for many years. We were so happy when it was purchased and refurbished and became the Inn on the beach. It is in the perfect location to get up on the morning and take a long walk through the town of Harwich Port. Lots of shops and restaurants and what we believe is the prettiest beach on the Cape! We raised our 2 girls there as we visited each summer! They are now adults and still love to join us for a day at the beach. More...

We stayed 5 nights for a vacation. Loved that it was situated in the quiet town of Harwich away from the crowds and tourist businesses. It's central location to the entire Cape and proximity to the ferry to Nantucket were pluses. A private beach, multiple decks and albeit small but quaint cottages all made this the classic Cape Cod stay. The staff were casual and attentive. They set up umbrellas and lounge chairs for us at the waters edge. If your looking to be in the exciting tourist towns this is not that but for a restful stay at the beach and access to the Cape then you cannot do better. More...

We just spent four days at Inn on the Beach and I loved it. The rooms are cozy and have lots of beach charm. The beach is right in front of the property and you can sit on the Inn's deck chairs or sit right at the water's edge. The weather this week was great and perfect for beach walks. The location is perfect: right on the beach, and only six minute walk to the main street through the town where you will find a nice assortment of shops and restaurants. The staff was a friendly as could be. They there when you needed them, but otherwise invisible. The room was a little small but very clean and efficient. We had our own little patio area, where we could sit and see the ocean. The continental breakfast, was a surprising plus. We didn't expect it, but it was so nice to sit outside by the ocean, and have a freshly brewed cup of coffee and some delicious pastry. I highly recommend this place for anyone who comes to the cape looking to enjoy the ocean, the "cape-like" feeling and not be over commercialized by typical over crowded tourists traps. More...

I live in Virginia and needed a place to stay on Cape Cod for a couple days when I took my son up to New England for a Lego expo. A friend (who owns a house on the Cape) recommended this Inn and I made a reservation sight unseen. My thirteen- year old son and I stayed two nights and had the most wonderful time. Our room was charming and clean ( I also got to see the room across from ours while it was being cleaned and it was larger, decorated differently, and just as immaculate and lovely as our own room). In addition to providing beach chairs and umbrellas down by the water (which is very tranquil and, with almost no pounding surf, excellent for kids), there are wonderfully comfy places to lounge outside in the evenings - complete with fire pits. The breakfast is self serve, with a wonderful spread of delicious pastries, hard boiled eggs, lunchmeat, etc. Breakfast can be eaten at tables outside (in summer) or inside, with wonderful views of the water. The owners are personable and friend, and the entire staff was professional and accommodating. It is truly an "inn" - if you don't want the cold, impersonal experience of a hotel and prefer human contact, it is spot on. I felt like I was "at home" but with all my needs met, providing a perfect vacation and beach experience. I highly recommend the Inn on the Beach. I look forward to going back when we head back up to Cape Cod. More...
