Beware! Scammers! Danger! Abusers! I personally saw Extreme and Cruel methods used! The day I allowed these people to take my puppy is the worst and most Regrettable decision of my life. I paid close to $3000.00 only to be lied to, yelled at and threatened after I approached them with my concerns about their mistreatment of my pet causing injury. They are nothing but money focused bullies who don’t care about people or our animals. Please protect your pets. Please do your full research.

Honestly don't trust my dog with anyone but was willing to leave her in their care for 21 days. My dog has been shown nothing but love and care as she grows and learns from these amazing people. You should see the way she practically melts when they pet her as a reward for being a good girl during training. I'm sad that I still hear things about the PETA video from 2 years ago because this place is nothing like that. I encourage others to do their own research to decide whether a place is a good fit for their dog rather than just believe a video release by an organization that's known to do ridiculous things to forward their agenda. Training/Adoption Rescue -We adopted "Goldie" back in June 2017 - Clark and his staff made sure that we were a good match he had us out 5 different times to meet Goldie, work with her, bring our dogs out to observe how they were together. He did not want just "anyone" to adopt her. He wanted to make sure she was with the right family and that we were committed to keeping up with her training not just with him but knowing that the continued work was going to ensure successful adoption. Goldie was in PERFECT health when we brought her home as I took her right to our Vet for a thorough check-up. We received 3 follow up calls checking on how she was adjusting to her new home. The biggest benefit we have gained by working with Clark and his staff have been to understand what our dogs need and expect from us, by learning how they think...Clark not only taught us what we needed to do to train our dogs but he also explained the logic behind the actions with patience and many hands-on demonstrations More...

I had a 9 week old English Bulldog that was doing the typical puppy chewing on us/our pant legs. However, I have a small child. This lady took the time and taught my child how to get him to stop chewing on her hand and instilled a confidence in me to continue working with him. Today, he is able to wait patiently with command at every feeding and when it's time to open the cage door. He will sit and stare at me until a different command is given either "come" or "eat". He does this for every person in my family, including my in-laws when they doggy sit. This would not be possible if it wasn't for Ingrid's. More...

Having owned/trained/worked Golden Retrievers as Therapy Dogs as well as titled Golden's in obedience, we were overwhelmed when we adopted two six month old Standard Poodles with NO training.  They didn't even know their names and weren't housebroken. We tried another local training facility, which was useless. What a relief when a neighbor with a Service Dog told us about Sit N Stay!  Once we met Shalli and she evaluated our dogs, we knew we'd found the right place! They are professional, kind and experienced.  They care about the owners as well as the animals and treat everyone like family. In just three months, we have obedient, happy poodles who are a joy to be around.  We even get compliments on our "well-behaved dogs" when we are out in public. If you are serious about wanting to train your dog this is where you need to go. They use positive reinforcement not treat training and I've seen first hand the difference it makes. My yorkie would have been hit by a car a long time ago. He was always running off and never listened to me. SnS taught me how to train and handle him with commitment to my dog and repetition they gave me the tools I needed. I could now walk my dog next to a busy highway off leash with 100% confidence that he will stay right by my side if I had to! It's the greatest feeling to be that connected to my pup! If you want the best and you want it to last a lifetime NOT just when you have treats in hand, this is where you need to train. And any reviews that mention the PETA BS clearly don't have the slightest clue what they are talking about and these amazing people and the care they have for animal welfare, their clients and the community. Btw- Clarke has trained dogs for some 40+ years. You don't live and work that long without running into a few people in life who don't agree with you. More...

You only hear bad things about places never or rarely the good things. Last night was a fantastic display of what Ingham"s Sit-n-Stay are really like. During a one hour training session last nigth(Dec 20. 2017)for intermediate and higher levels of trained dogs one of the handlers with a disability had an epileptic event. She fell down and started convulsing she hit two dogs in her fall the dogs did not move or show any signs of distress. The trainers immediately jumped in to provide assistance. One rendered medical assitance to the young woman. Keith was calm and knew what to do to keeping the woman calm and as safe as possible. 911 was called immediately. The main trainer and her assitant moved all the other dogs and thier handlers out of the area. All the trainers, handlers and dogs remained calm and under control. Not one dog barked it was incredibly well handled. The ambulance came quikly and assessed the situation. The head trainer knew the parents and lived close she sent someone to get them and they arrived before the ambulance and where there to talk to the ambulamce medical personnel. Though I've been taking in rescue dogs since 2001, I'm not sure I've met any group of people who know more about animal behavior than these people. They work with all dogs, not just the small cute ones. Looks like they routinely deal with many animals that most training facilities won't even attempt to work with and in the process, they likely save many animals from being euthanized. Knowledgeable and in it for the right reasons; that's more than I can say for most of the "animal welfare activists" I've met and talked to. More...

I took my first pitbull to Inghrams back in 2011 and she is wonderful. I still get compliments on how well behaved she is. A week ago, I adopted a pitbull that had many behavioral issues because i knew that eventually he would be euthanized. I brought him home and in less than one week, I knew that if the academy couldn't help him, he would have to be put down. He tried to kill my cats, he was possessive, aggressive, etc. He was fixated on cats and kids. I found out that he bit someone. He would do back flips on the leash during corrections. He showed his teeth at me. It was so bad, I would lock up all of my other animals just to open his kennel. Within 30 seconds of one of the trainers taking over with my new dog, I saw a different dog. They did corrections that were not needed with my older dog. I was so amazed, I hugged everyone in the office. I am so grateful for the academy and what they do. Without them, I know I would be euthanizing a dog today. More...

Our lives were qualitatively improved when we came to Sit 'n Stay Academy.  We entered as a broken family, victims of a violent crime, but, now due to our dogs, we sleep through the night peacefully.  The Sit 'n Stay philosophy of no-treat training and matching each dog's energy acknowledges that every dog, just like every human, is an unique individual -- and that food bribes are not always available. With the expert help of the Sit 'n Stay staff, we adopted two unwanted dogs to then systematically transform them into active, content family dogs with a real job.   Our dogs serve us without complaint or failure, require no electrical or phone hook up, and their response time is immediate.  They play in the pool and yard with us, entertain us with encouraged and desirable behaviors, travel with us, and sleep by us.   Sit 'n Stay worked diligently with us to ensure that our dogs fit our lifestyle perfectly.  For that we are profoundly grateful to the staff as well as all the other wonderful handler-dog teams we have trained with over the past three years.   This family will ALWAYS have at least two Sit 'n Stay advanced trained dogs in our lives. In April 2016 we adopted a Treeing Walker Coonhound from Hernando County Animal Services.  Our dog, a 2-1/2 year old fixed male, had been separated from his pack (our vet stated he presumably had been trained from a very early age to hunt raccoon, cougar, and wild boar, the typical prey for coonhounds operating in central and northern Florida. ) This is a dog who will follow his nose anywhere.  And will climb trees to pursue prey.  Because he had to be treated for heartworm by our vet ( we have other dogs) we were not able to enroll him for dog training until October 2016, six months after we rescued him.  From April to October 2016 while he was being treated and kept at home, we researched and visited several dog training facilities in the Tampa area. We interviewed with trainers and toured several facilities, before making a decision to enroll him at Inghrams Sit N Stay.  Primary to our decision to go with Clark was meeting and talking with Shalli, Clark's daughter, a knowledgeable, experienced and personable dog trainer, and also with Dana, the office manager.  We observed how well and expertly Shalli interacted with our dog, despite his size and heft (currently at 93 lbs and on a diet) but weighed less in 2016.   He's a large, muscular  and willful hound dog.  Shalli's suggestions and proposals for a program  for his training were  considered by us for several weeks, before we arrived at a decision,  with full knowledge that there had been several negative reviews regarding Clark Inghram's practices and procedures.  Despite these negative reviews and allegations (which we concluded to have been politically motivated and involving training competitors) we enrolled our dog in Clark's program.  This required our dog to "boot camp" at the academy for six weeks.  This was a problem for us because we had grown attached to the dog over the months since April and we would miss having him around.  It was us who were having the separation anxiety--not the dog!  Our large hound was hot on Inghram's, he liked everyone he had met there,  and we could tell he wanted to be there.  However since the program included weekly individual training for us and the dog together as well as unlimited access to group training classes, the separation during his training ended up being bearable for us.  This dog has never really been a "pet" to us, preferring as he does to stay the working dog he really is, living out of a climate-controlled crate located outside the house.  And only making occasional forays into our home to "let us" play with him.In March of 2017 our Coonhound graduated from bootcamp and arrived home with two wonderful trainers as chaperones, a changed animal.  Gone was the "crazed moose" we had rescued.  In its place was a dog who executed commands on cue and was calm and responsive, with all of his Coonhound personality and willfulness and curiosity and intelligence still intact.  Note that this is a dog who was blacklisted by our vet for any future boarding at the vet's office because he had succeeded in unlocking several  dog enclosures, freeing the inhabitants therein, and generally creating mayhem.  Apparently he seemed to be adept at defeating all sorts of door locks with his nose and paws and muscular body.     Clark and his staff executed every condition in the contract we signed with them to the letter, including the care and treatment and training of our dog.  At no point did we experience any deviance from the stated standards and conditions.  To this day, our dog looks forward to his once-weekly play date at Inghram's where he gets to run with the"pack" all day long and come home as an exhausted but happy Coonhound. I can walk off leash with my dog, he comes when he is called, and is the most well-behaved dog anywhere I go. He is not scared, nor was he scared into behaving.
