How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Make sure there is sufficient head height minimum of 2.2m from ceiling to ridge.
Make sure where the stairs come up that there is a 2m clearance above and below the staircase
If you have these two aspects the loft is possible to convert
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
stage 1 - materials and scaffold
stage 2 - floor and steels installed
Stage 3- dormer construction
Stage 4 - Roofing, plasterboarding and insulation
Stage 5 - Staircase and windows fitted
Stage 6 - Plastering, 2nd fix carpentry, electrics and plumbing and clean up
