Gemma designed our company logo and website. Initially, I heard about her by word of mouth and the first time I used her services was to design my wedding invites and service sheets which were so beautiful that when the time came to brand our company we knew we already had someone to do the work. She understood our brief perfectly and produced a design that reflected our landscaping firm better than we ever thought was possible! It completely captures our personalities and company ethos. We have since used her designs in a range of different ways, from t-shirts to the side of a van and have found her process to be thoughtful, methodical and well communicated. I decided to change my company name and rebrand this year. Quite daunting I must admit - so much needed doing and I was without business support so I felt quite overwhelmed. I had never met Gemma, and a good friend recommended her. I had a second designer lined up and I thought I would meet with both and see who I preferred and who 'got me'. Gemma came to my office so she could understand me, what I do, how I work and see the kind of things I do with my clients. I really liked Gemma, so I didn't even talk to my other designer option. We agreed a brief, the costings were set out clearly - like a menu really, so I could see what I wanted and what would work with my business. Then things got really exciting. I don't know if Gemma did her designs in her preferred order, but she produced me 6 really great logo options and I printed them all, hung them all over the office, put them in various places and kept going back to #1. In her first design she had nailed exactly what I wanted. Bingo! I did a wider range of things with Gemma - she arranged a photoshoot, produced linkedin banners, stickers, and note pads - all within the timeframe she promised, and all amazing. I have received so many comments about my logo - how it works so well, shows exatly what I was trying to portray in a really subtle way, looks classy and fits so well with what I offer my clients. As a LinkedIn trainer, I need to have an impactful cover image on my personal profile and my company page. I've designed my own banners before however, they had limitations and I felt they needed more professionalism, incorporating a personal touch, that would be unique to me. Gemma took the time to listen to my vision extremely carefully, took my own amateur hand drawn drawings and has created something that I am totally delighted with. The new banners are illustration based which represent both my businesses, blending the two in an imaginative way. What has impressed me the most is the step by step approach that Gemma has taken, checking in with me regularly, listening to my feedback and tweaking tiny details that I needed before the final version was completed. She has an uncanny knack of creating something taken from a vision I could not fully explain.
