I am a huge fan of Indian food and have been lucky to eat in several outstanding Indian restaurants in Northern California, Chicago, Washington, DC, and England. Indus Modern Kitchen can more than hold its own in comparison. Indus is a trend-setter in what is fast becoming the latest express, fast-casual food craze in the country. The decor is crisp and clean, the staff is friendly, the Indian owners knowledgeable about the restaurant business as well as good Indian food, and the prices are the best in town. I recommend any dish, but my favorite is the creamy butter chicken on rice, followed by mouth-watering gulab jamun for dessert. O.My.GAWD! So, I ate at Indus Modern Kitchen for the first time yesterday and it was incredible! As a typical American, I have only enjoyed the westernized version of Indian food but the food at Indus Modern Kitchen is how I would imagine it to be if I had the luxury, fortuity to travel to Hindustan (India). I had a customer that was born and raised in India. I was lucky enough to have her make an authentic lunch for us on two separate occasions. It was by far some of the best food I've ever eaten. I've tried to find a restaurant between Colorado Springs and Denver that could produce similar flavors. None have really compared, until we went to Indus Modern Kitchen! This was an experience to remember. Every single thing I tried was my favorite. It seemed to get better when I discovered the hot sauces! Then I was able to top it off with the most delicious desert. Everything was fresh and healthy. (On another level of healthy.) It is unbelievable how much thought is put into each dish, every single spice and ingredient has a purpose, it is all made with the most genuine love of people and knowing what is good for us and what keeps us healthy. So Good!! Authentic, Fresh and reasonably priced! I tried the Butter Chicken, Curry Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Marsala and it was all amazing! It certainly has some heat to the Curry and Marsala but just the right amount, the flavors come through the heat very nicely. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu items!
