Linda brings out the potential dogs have to create a stronger bond along with training YOU in a caring environment. Her tips are phenomenal that go beyond the typical "sit, stay, lay down" instructions. The best part is, the dogs have fun while blossoming into wonderful pets. She will show her clients the difference between eye contact, response to dirrection, bonding, & confidence. Linda is a superb non-judgemental trainer who cares about you & your dog's success. I would highly recommend Linda's expertise to anyone lucky enough to have the opportunity of meeting her!Carla Jo SpaleLINCOLN, NE More...

It has been my pleasure to work with Linda on a number of occasions with situations where I, or others I know, have needed assistance with canine training problems. Linda's smart, kind, analytical, and her advice works if you follow it. In addition, she is always available for follow-up questions or concerns, and does her research before ever referring to excellent alternative trainers (if she is unable to take a dog due to time constraints or other issues). I highly recommend Linda - she knows how to get results using positive communication and trust-building. You will see the results as your relationship with your dog improves! More...

“I have had dogs for many years, but a few years ago found myself with Jas, a German short-haired pointer mix puppy, who arrived full of energy and afraid of the world. Such simple things as being offered food out of an unfamiliar bowl, meeting new people, hearing new sounds, being in new situations, scared her. She even had times when her feet would slip on my floor and then she’d be afraid to step on the floor. In addition to the list of things that scared her on a regular basis, she began to eat walls while I was at work.I first took her to another trainer in the area to work on some general obedience and to help deal with some of Jas’ fear issues and destructive tendencies. That trainer used traditional aversive teaching techniques with choke chains and prong collars, and I found that the more I worked with her, the more Jas’ fear grew, and then her fear turned to aggression, especially toward dogs and people. She began to learn that when she alerted to a dog or person, she got a quick jerk on the collar, which hurt, which reinforced her idea that she was right to be afraid of that new dog or person. Because she was on a leash she couldn’t get away, so she began to go right into an “I’m going to get you before you get me” mode.I ended up with a much more serious problem than I started with. Because the teaching techniques included jerks on the pinch collar when she didn’t do what she was told, she also began to flinch when I would give her a command. I knew I needed another approach. Not only was the traditional training making the situation worse, I wanted a healthier and more joyful and fun relationship with my dog than I was getting.I found Linda through searching the internet and was impressed by the vets who recommended her and her articles on her website, which told me that this was a trainer who was constantly seeking the best positive techniques to work with dogs. After meeting Linda and having her evaluate what was going on and develop a plan to address it, I now know what to do to help her overcome her fears. We still have work to do, which is focused more on me learning how to change my reactions in those situations where Jas gets scared than it is on teaching Jas to do specific behaviors. One of the things I’ve learned is that if I’m anxious that Jas will get aggressive, because that is what she has done in the past, she will pick up on my anxiety and that is what she is really reacting to. Fortunately Linda is a patient trainer and has helped me clue into my unhelpful communication and is helping me develop better communication patterns. Thanks to Linda, I know I will finally have the relationship I want with my dog, and I love training with Jas and watching her develop into the companion I wanted when I first got her.I highly recommend Linda to anyone who wants a positive, healthy, joy-filled relationship with their dog. Linda has incredible knowledge and education in behavior, and it shows in her teaching. I started working with Linda with a private consultation, and her follow-up support has been excellent. Being involved with horses and dogs all of my life, I have seen my share of trainers. I didn't quite understand the difference between a trainer and behaviorist until I met Linda (she is both) and immediately upon engaging her help it was apparent exactly how educated and talented she is. She has the ability to quickly and empathetically analyze a situation or issue and clearly communicate what is happening and why. She was ESSENTIAL to saving our relationship with our very smart, insanely energetic, sly and naughty Vizsla puppy. - We were in way over our heads with him - we were at the point where we had tried everything (or thought we had) and things just got worse. After even just the first meeting with Linda, she was able to interpret what was going on, how to best handle him and started training US right away. We literally saw results that same day; she had helped us to speak his language. From there we worked diligently to follow her advice with consistency and the occasional consult. We supplemented by taking her class (which was super fun) and not only did things turn around with our Vizsla, we ended up rescuing a second one a few years later. Linda again helped us with our second dog who had some unique issues from his previous situation. Again, she knew exactly what to do and again, we couldn't have done it without her. I strongly recommend that you contact Linda with your questions and needs - she is incredible and we are beyond grateful for her help! More...

Linda is such a bright and helpful trainer! I am so thankful that she is helping with my spaz kitten Leyna! Since Linda has started helping with Leyna we have started seeing some great results in her behavior. She (Leyna) is scratching the furniture less and her teething on us has slowed down. I had forgotten how much trouble a 14 week old kitten could get herself into! Thank you Linda for all of your help!!! More...

Thank you!! Linda has once again come to my rescue; this time spotting the beginnings of "seperation anxiety" - a potential behavior issue with my Nederlandse Kooikerhondje puppy, and then teaching me how to "nip this in the bud! !" My Kooiker's future is as a Performance Dog (conformation, agility, dock diving, obedience, therapy, etc.), therefore he must be able to wait quietly alone in his crate at various events. Utilizing Linda's training techniques I had HUGE success at this year's Kentucky Cluster - the "Kooiker Coming Out Party." My four-month old puppy waited patiently for me in his crate, while other dogs yapped away!! I was so proud of my Little Man and am grateful to Linda for: 1. spotting the signs of seperation anxiety, 2. discussing with me and explaining to me the consequences of it if I do not deal with it now, and 3. working with my puppy and me and giving me the techniqies, tools and encouragement I needed to squash this behavior problem in its early stages. Thank you again, Linda. I highly recommend you, you are the best!! More...

I worked with Linda with my horse Boogie with his separation anxiety. He was horrible and hated to leave the barn and his buddies. But with Linda's patience and positive reinforcement techniques we were able to help Boogie get over his fears of leaving the barn and become a safe and happy trail partner.I highly recommend Linda not just for dogs (she's wonderful with them!) but any animal as her positive training techniques work wonders! Linda was great working with us! We have a beagle mix rescue dog who was not properly socialized with other dogs. Linda spent time with us at our home, helping us understand how to train our dog to look to us for cues about how to behave (which means she was really training us). We always thought our dog was a little slow, but Linda showed us in just a few minutes how smart our dog actually is when WE know what to do to motivate and teach her. She also recommended reading to reinforce the lessons and a type of harness to have our dog wear outside while we are working with our dog on our new-found skills. Both have also proven to be very helpful. Linda was positive with us and gave us adequate time with each new skill so we could develop confidence that we would have success when she went home. A great experience for all! More...

Our experience with Linda was absolutely fantastic! Before Linda, our golden retriever puppy was hyper, didn't listen or mind, and was constantly puppy biting people. After only six sessions, it's like he's a completely different dog. She taught us techniques that we never considered and changed our approach with interacting with our dog. I unequivocally recommend Linda and she has made our lives as pet owners much more enjoyable. Thank you Linda! More...

I adopted Zeus almost a 1 year ago. He is the most adorable, sweetest and lovable dog but anxiety outside of the home. He LOVES people but we can never tell if he will bite their pets as he growled and pulls on his leash. Linda has helped us to handle Zeus by teaching him the right way to respond to other animals. She has also helped us understand where his limits are and how to modify what we need to do to prevent any problems that may occur. I love that Linda teaches positive reinforcement that has quickly helped us help Zeus with the anxiety. An example of Linda's positive reinforcement in people is like this one. Imagine you have new job and the new boss first teaches you their language then easily understand each other. You enjoy your job. Instead, with old fashion negative reinforcement, you are working at a new job where your boss speaks a different language. As you are trying to learn what to do, you are yelled at when wrong, but they had never shown you how to do it in the first place. This job stinks!Training Zeus was hard but I highly recommend Linda to teach you and your pets to live a long, wonderful life together! Jody Jones, DVM More...

We are incredibly grateful for Linda and her help in training our Great Pyre. She was gracious and understanding of our personal situation. Rather than talking down to us she did her best to explain the "Why" behind each facet of the training. Six sessions ago we were afraid that we would never be able to handle our dog or get to a better place. Now, we feel legitimate hope and confidence for the future of relationship with our dog.
