Describe your creative process.
1. I gather your task/project information: I find out what needs designing, take into account your preferences, assess what your target audience is to provide tailored branding.
2. I provide a quote and if the job is accepted, I ask for a 25% non-refundable deposit to secure the time I will spend working on your drafts. I also give you the turnaround time that you can expect to have your first drafts by.
3. I start brainstorming some design concepts to give you plenty of choice
3. I start the art (favorite part!) and once complete I present you between 4-6 drafts to choose from.
4. Once you choose a draft design you want to work with most, I work on any changes you need on it until you are satisfied.
5. Once satisfied, i send the full invoice and collect the remaining payment from you which I will deliver to you the design files (usually via email) in a series of image formats suitable for printing and online use.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
Task information including:
- The purpose of the artwork
- Where the artwork will be used? I.e. online, print, both, social media platforms if any.
- Target audience for the needed design if any.
- Design preferences including preferred colour scheme or font styles (if you know them).
What do you love most about your job?
The creativity and the variety of the work! I love working on creative projects and experimenting with new styles to communicate unique branding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had a passion for graphic design since I was a child but I didn’t yet know it, I just knew I had a creative bug and a greater attention to detail visually when it came to class projects. In 2016 I designed a flyer for a cause that fought for human rights of a group of people. I offered this freely but then realised they really welcomed my design expertise, so much so that they decided to pay me. From that point onwards I began to invest in my talent as a means of business even though it was (and still is) something that I enjoyed doing in my downtime and as a hobby.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am efficient and operate with good initiative. I’ve heard many of my previous clients tell me that I just knew exactly what they were looking for visually without telling me lots of detail. I think this is where my unique strength is, I use my creative freedom to produce satisfactory results for people even when they aren’t sure of what exactly they want. They have compared me to other designers who have to ask 1000 questions just to get some drafts over. Thinking of the next phase of your visual branding can be a daunting task; my aim is to work in a way that gives customers ease of mind and plenty of choice to choose from.
