I qualified as a barrister before transferring to become a solicitor.

I act for multinationals, small to medium sized enterprises, public sector bodies, charities and individuals. This has included both employment and commercial related disputes in the employment tribunal, county court and High Court. I have acted as solicitor/advocate in employment tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal.

Recent work

I advised on a large scale restructuring exercise involving multiple employees across a number of departments. This included advising on: strategy; new structure; role changes and job descriptions; collective consultation of employees; timetabling and implementation; dismissals; and documentation. No claims were either threatened or taken against the client.

I successfully defended a claim for unfair dismissal relating to an alleged service provision change under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006.

I advised on the successful removal of a long standing under-performing board director for a market leading company.

I successfully negotiated a substantial settlement of a dismissed employee against one the largest global brands in the world.

I develop and present both seminars and workshops for the Employment department and the firm.

I am on the committee of Maidenhead Hockey Club.

I was a former director and President of the Maidenhead & District Chamber of Commerce.

I am former school governor.

I am former member of the Loddon/Twyford chapter of BNI.

Away from the office, I am keen hockey player.
