I went to Ian's studio to get new headshots done and I could not be happier with how they turned out. Ian's studio is terrific, located right along the Cam river and he made the shoot relaxed and fun. I never like having my photo taken but I so enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Ian to everyone! More...

You just can't get better. Ian worked with me to generate a series of pics I could use on professional social media. It was great and really captures who I am. Really pleased with them.

I can fully recommend Ian if you require portrait photography. I needed head shot photos for work/social media profile. His studio is not far from centre of town and very relaxed atmosphere. Photos are beautiful, exactly what I wanted. More...

I came to Ian, because I needed portrait photos to use for social media profile and to use for applications. The atmosphere was relaxed, which helped taking photos, which might matter. I had the chance to change outfits, photo background and Ian was open to ideas and but he would also say what could / would work in a photo (e.g. parts of your hair not doing what you want it to do). The price was fair and reasonable. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Moving your position to get the best composition you can. Crouching down, standing up tall, getting closer, etc… It's all stuff that people don't do enough when they are shooting portraits.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your portrait for, and how do you want to come across?
What do you love most about your job?
When someone who doesn't like having their picture taken is really pleased with the result. It gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love the creativity involved with working for myself, and the sense of pride and accomplishment it gives me.
Why should our clients choose you?
Good portrait photography is a collaboration between photographer and subject, and I love working with my clients to give them a great quality, creative approach to portraiture. Making a great job of your photography is my number one concern – I'm just not happy unless my clients are happy.
