Q&As

Connecting with the moment.
No matter what you are photographing, whether it's a concert, a wedding, a family portrait or even a fashion photoshoot, the key is to connect. Be part of what's going on from the role of observing and understanding. Indispensable to be able to capture the essence of the scene. If it's a fun moment, have fun. If it's a creative moment be inspired. If it's a sad moment, feel the pain.

It is important to know the expectations of the client. I love to use pinterest because the photos they save are the style of photos they dream of.
I always ask if they want natural photos or posed portraits. If they are willing to share with me the wedding schedule and adapt the timings in order to achieve all the portraits they want from the day. It is really hard to make them if there is no time allocated specially for photography.

I also ask about them, their personality and tastes. To be more connected to who they are and who I am photographing.

I have been studying and practising photography for more than 10 years. It was not until 2015 that I thought about becoming a Wedding Photographer and work on my own. I have a son and Wedding Photography allows me to do what I love, and work many hours from home, without missing any stage in his life.
Portraits are my passion and I discovered great pleasure in working with real people, creating beautiful memories for them. It is just such an honour to know that you have that huge responsibility and it depends on your art. At that point art matters.

Because within photography, I try my best to keep it real. Get rid of that plastic, manufactured look of digital, and bring it to life.
For me, photography must move the audience, connect them with something true, transport them or make them feel at home. It must engage them in some deep level.

While working I try to understand the client's needs and combine that with my own visual style in order to produce an honest and efficient end result. I will never give a blind look to either of both elements. I will keep real to myself while being versatile and adapting intelligently.
