Our house is a gut rehab, so I've got plenty of experience, mostly bad, with contractors.  Mike was great to work with!  This job required removing a water damaged basement floor, installing radiant heat and a new floor.  I contacted 10 guys, only 5 could be bothered to give me a quote.  Of those 5, 1 would only come to look at the project if we were ready to hire him (umm, not how it works), another guy came but said he was too busy to do the work, another one wouldn't take credit cards, this for a job that was over $10K, I definitely don't have that kind of money in my pocket!  Thankfully Mike came to the rescue and took the job!  He was thorough and conscientious and very responsive with communication.  The only problem may be that you're going to have a hard time getting a hold of him now because I have lots of projects planned for him!  :)  I think I've finally found a great gc! I can't say enough good things about Mike and his crew. We initially called Mike for help with a composite fence project gone awry at the hands of another contractor. Mike took on the botched project and turned a bad situation into an awesome one. This fence turned out way better than I ever even imagined it could. We recently had a leak that had caused some wall damage. Mike was able to determine the source of the leak and repair it, as well as the wall damage. We decided to have some other projects completed at the same time, including having the interior of our house painted. It turned out amazing and again, way better than I ever could have imagined. Their attention to detail is notable and it is apparent that Mike and his crew take a lot of pride in their work. As others have mentioned, Mike is also great at communicating and following up via email, text, and phone. Courteous, responsive, and professional. Ditto to almost everything the others are saying here.  Over the course of a year, we had had numerous people come in and assess some problems in our basement with our plumbing and our bathroom.  No one seemed to be able to pinpoint an odor coming from it, and no one seemed eager to take on our job.  Even our home inspector totally left out something that Mike easily pinpointed (no ventilation hooked up to any basement plumbing or bathroom).  So I'll scourge those guys in a separate Yelp post some time soon.  Stay tuned.  Mike was so good in communicating with us about what they thought would be best, and was fantastic in helping my wife pick out at the store the decor and colors for our new bathroom.  Everything turned out so well.  He was willing to stick around several times until I got home from work to talk about work being done.  He was very responsive by phone, text, and email.  The plumbing is top-notch, and our new basement bathroom is the nicest room in the house.  We'll be going with Mike and his crew again for the next house project!I wish I could find the option to upload some before / after photos, but I can't seem to be able to.  For another day.
