This is one of the biggest HyVees I've come across, with a particularly nice cosmetics section and a small, but interesting clothing section. The Health Market is quite good, with many gluten-free and FODMAP options. And the emoloyees are especially nice here. I like that they have samples / demos in the evening--other stores stop them at 5:00, so people who work miss out. The only thing I didn't like was the Kitchen--the chicken I got the other night was so dry and hard that I ended up throwing it away. The kitchen also needs to have info about ingredients for people who have allergies. More...

I think they are the best grocery chain in Omaha. Very courteous staff. They welcome you and if they see you the ask if you need help. Hy-Vee has great customer service and quality selection. I particularly enjoy their meat and deli department because the quality and prices are really great. If you are looking for already seasoned and prepped stuff to grill this is a great place. I feel they also pay close attention to their fruits and vegetables department as well. They recently remodeled inside , rearranged, and added a clothing section and bath & body section. You guys I have to tell you about some AMAZING customer service! I order my groceries online from HyVee in Kearney and then pick them up the next day. .... it is a way for me to save time and stay on budget. Today I picked up my groceries and when I got home discovered I was missing several items. I called Hy-Vee and of course was pretty irritated (feeling pretty bad about that). They are delivering my groceries that I was missing TO ME, in Holdrege!! Can you believe it? That was completely unexpected and I am blown away. Salad Bar has many options that other places in town don’t offer. Bakery ALWAYS has amazing selection of sweets and breads. Cheese selection in the Deli area is crazy diverse with loads of options for trying new flavors and types. I highly suggest you work with Karen in the Catering Department for your next Holiday Meal. Due to my busy work schedule, this was the absolute best decision I made several years ago. The food was easy to prepare at home and was delicious! Each Thanksgiving and Christmas I have our family meal catered by Hy-Vee. I just want to share what a wonderful experience I had with the the Italian Catering services, in particular Aaron! He was very helpful from the order and then pickup more than two weeks later. He listened, and understood my needs and did everything he could to meet them. He provided outstanding customer (human) services from start to finish. We live shopping here. Today Deann F aisle 8 register at 1145 was very rude my husband was asking about a gift card we had received she looked at him and said swipe it he did and then went to put rest of payment in she you give me that card now. He was like what. I need that gift card now. He gave it to her then she said you need to add another payment he said he was before your jumped down my throat. . I just want to say thank you so much to the man in the produce area around 330 today. I believe you may have been a manager. I was over grabbing some bananas when he asked if I liked plums. I kind of hesitated because it’s hit and miss with them for me. He told me to go try the plums they were sampling that they were simply the best. Man was he right they were delicious. He also told me which ones were ripe and which needed a few days to ripen. He also told me once they are ripe enough I can refrigerate them and it will slow down how ripe they get. All of this was so nice because I don’t always know about different fruit and I hate wasting when they go bad. I am truly grateful and appreciate him taking the time to help me. More...
