I trained with Denise on the integrated psychotherapeutic studies last year; and it really was the most life changing experience. After a history of being in and out of various mental health and addiction services, and exhausting every type of therapy that was available to me, I was at a point in my life where I knew the importance of my own self development, and was working hard at making changes... but didn’t know specifically what changes I needed to make, or what steps needed to be taken to get me to where I wanted to be. I read all the self help books I could find, and eventually went on to train in counselling skills... but I still didn’t feel like I was in the drivers seat of my life, because I didn’t have the right knowledge or resources to feel confident enough to be in control of myself. That was when I discovered the wonders of NLP, and thankfully found The hummingbird Effect in an online search. The courses Denise offered were exactly what I felt i needed, so without hesitation I called and booked my place. As soon as I met Denise and the group I would be training with I knew I had made the right choice... and within months I had a clear vision of where I was headed and what I wanted from life, and had grown so much in confidence that I was unrecognisable to people around me. My communications with others improved.. both verbal and non verbal, changing the dynamics of my relationships, and helping me to make new connections... and even secure jobs that I never imagined I would have even had the courage to apply for before starting the course. I stopped fearing change and growth and begun to accept and embrace it, and as a result, I truly felt in control of my life for the first time. What I learned while studying with the hummingbird Effect is just invaluable, and I have so much gratitude to Denise. I first trained with Denise in 2006 and I can honestly say it was life changing for me. Not only did I learn skills that I continue to use personally and professionally to this day, it also enabled me to make some serious decisions about my own life in an informed and enlightened way; 12 years on, I can say that these are some of the best, and most important, decisions I have ever made. As an experienced therapist and Trainer I can honestly say that the courses I have attended that have been run by Denise are truly special. Denise has a unique blend of skills..firstly she is extremely knowledgable and experienced but what I find most refreshing is that Denise does it in her own way, mixing humour..and she has that in bag loads..but also with care and support for her students. Denise really WANTS her students to complete their course not just with a qualification ..but with the confidence and competence to put all that they have learnt in to practice. So her courses are full on, hands on..'get to grips' with the subject...no sitting in the background.... as everyone participates. The very best way to learn the subject.
