We have eaten at hotel on and off for many years but we had to have a stay of 7 days due to un-foreseen problems at our home address. ||The staff were all helpful and friendly, the room had a lovely view and was warm and clean.||As for the food what can it say....as we were at the hotel for 7 nights we got to sample a good range from the menu all excellent. Husband said he had never had such a well cooked rib-eye steak and my favorite was Pasta Carbonara which was excellent. The new manager and new executive chef are certainly making a huge difference to the hotel and restaurant. We will certainly be calling in again for lunches. More...

We visited for lunch as a group of 8, including two young children, with a puppy. The service was outstanding, both waiter and chef were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They really did go out of their way to make us feel welcome and to make sure that the children had a wonderful time. The food was excellent but I would have left a 5 star review for the service alone. More...

Booked this hotel on spec not knowing what to expect but so glad we did. What a lovely place, quiet, secluded and peaceful, just what we needed for a wind down few days away. ||Welcomely greeted by check-in and other members of staff. Really so friendly - even to our dog! Room really clean, although a little small. Comfy bed! Food really good 'if the chef's got it you can have it...' attitude - wow! Dedicated 'snug' for doggy guests and owners with lovely real fire. We happily sat here all afternoon and were encouraged to do so.||Breakfast good with lovely view from the restaurant. Nothing too much trouble for anyone, all pleased to be able to assist you and be friendly.||Nice walks all around, nearby nature reserve not welcoming for dogs though. Towels at the entrance to wipe the dog's feet a lovely touch and so important. ||Just winding up to the Christmas hols so the hotel was beautifully decorated. Would like to stay again if the opportunity arose. More...

We had a fantastic time celebrating my Mums birthday at the hotel. What made it very special was all the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us, everyone (reception, waiters, Tanya who looked after us during the day and the chef Sarb) were so helpful and friendly. They couldn’t do enough for us. The pizzas we had in the evening were excellent and nice to wake up to a lovely view of the river and Humber Bridge. Thank you for looking after us. Lorraine More...

We have been staying at The Humber Bridge Hotel for three nights on our second visit there. We had a lovely comfortable room 510 overlooking the river and the magnificent Humber Bridge. What a view! The hotel staff are fantastic from receptionists to cleaners. Richard, Mario and Megan were really lovely! Very friendly and helpful in every way. Breakfasts were good sitting in the dining room on the side of a lake watching the birds landing. Can’t wait to go back! Just hope the powers that be can get a large attractive road sign on the top road between Barton and South Ferriby as we missed the turning twice and ended up driving a good way to turn around. The hotel deserves that! It’s such a good place to stay. Thank you! More...

We had a nice room with great views southward over the lake. Breakfast was good every morning. The staff were helpful at all times. The pubs and restaurants of Barton were just a short and very pleasant walk away, along the Humber. The only negative point that we have, was that the shower was awful on our fourth night, changing from dangerously hot to freezing cold every thirty seconds or so. It was fine for the rest of our stay.Despite that one hiccough, we would recommend this hotel and wouldnt hesitate to stay there again. More...

We didn't eat here, apart from the breakfast which was plentiful and very tasty, especially the sausages! Pity there was no black pudding.||My biggest gripe though, is the driveway into the hotel and THE most annoying traffic humps built into it. There are far too many of them and they are too high as I scraped the bottom of my car a number of times whilst travelling at about 2 MPH! If the hotel is willing to pay for any damage that occurs then fine but I would request that you review these humps as a matter of urgency. A 4x4 would be fine but my Jaguar was at their mercy. Its title may be a bit off-putting but it is situated in a very quiet and pastoral setting with a great view of the bridge to one side and large reed-edged lakes on the other, with plenty of parking spaces. There are great dog walks , although we didn't manage the Humber to Oakham 140 mile Viking Way!
