My experience with Hughes Cleaning Service is a perfect example of the art of service recovery. Â Reaching them to schedule a deep cleaning for my house (because I have teenagers and an 84 year old father who has never actually put his dirty clothes in a hamper) was a bit challenging, however thanks to Yelp, I was able to connect easily to Rodney. Â We discussed by message what I'd need. Â He had a scheduler contact me and I gave some dates I could have this done.I didn't hear anything back until I got a text telling me one person was coming in 30 minutes on one of the days I said were fine. It was later in the afternoon, too. Wait? Â A deep clean with one person in the afternoon? Â Not going to work. Â After some back and forth with the scheduler, where I just ended up saying "Please have Rodney call me" a few times, the individual was cancelled.Rodney called me promptly. Â He was great, he saw where the confusion was, understood what I needed, sent me an easy payment link and we scheduled two people to come out for a deep clean promptly. Â Jalil and Ayla were amazing. They did a great job and were kind and friendly to my father as well. Â I then scheduled a weekly cleaning with Hughes, again it was Jalil and Ayla, they were once again fantastic, my house looks great and they were again kind to my dad, who I think deliberately is home so that he can visit with his friend Jalil, who, to his credit, just kept cleaning as he was listening to my dad's stories. I purchased 4 cleaning services on Living Social for my wife for Mother's Day last year. Â So far we have used two of them, and each resulted in impeccable work. Â I don't remember who cleaned our house the first time, but on the most recent occasion it was Solomon and David (Am I writing this 3,000 years ago? Â I digress...), and they did a tremendous job. Â We gave them a list to do that included two bathrooms, a kitchen, and all of the floors and stairs. Â As we kept offering more items that needed cleaning, I said "Well, I don't know if I should keep talking because I don't know how much you can clean in two hours." Â Solomon's response was "You'd be surprised."When all was said and done, we were thrilled with the job that was done. Â We have four months to use the remaining two vouchers, and then I am sure that we will continue to employ this service.Also, the woman that sets the appointments is extremely professional and easy to work with. Â She calls the day before the appointment to ensure that I don't need to cancel, and after the cleaning she calls to make sure that the job was up to our standards. I bought a Angie's list deal to try Hughes cleaning. It was easy to schedule although they were very booked up and I did wait about a month for my appt. this is probably because they are good.I had 3 people show up to clean my house, 3 stories, 3 bed and 1.5 bath. My house can get pretty messy with 3 adults, 3dogs, 1cat and 1baby. So I was surprised they did such an amazing job with it. They gave extra attention where it was needed. I found Hughes Cleaning via a Living Social deal and making the appointment was easy enough though it was a few weeks out. I figured they had a lot of demand from the deal. Two ladies showed up and one was 30 minutes late as she didn't realize how far away my place was from the subway line. The fact that she walked for about 15-20 minutes in the hot and humid weather with her cleaning equipment was rather impressive. The ladies totally made up for the lateness with how well they cleaned my place. I have a 3 floor row house and it had not been professionally cleaned for months. I've been searching for a reliable cleaning service for almost 3 yrs. Thankfully, I believe I'm done looking. I've had three monthly cleanings to date and have been very happy each time. The owners are very receptive to feedback and listened to what I had to say each time they were here. I requested extra attention to an area, and said it was fine to skip other tasks.
