It was crowded Saturday night when we visit,Gentleman at front was kind enough to send us to best seat!!! Food was amazing, I ordered turkey plate and stake for my husband. Everything was perfect. Everyone who worked there were very nice and so kind they were so positive even it was such a busy night.One of best place for having dinner. Defiantly go there again. More...

Excellent Service! Watching Stephen make Spanish Coffees the stylish way is impressive on it's own! The only thing I would wish for is a few plant-based menu items besises fries or chips, but I know that is not their history.

Took great care of us even when busy. They seated us at the chef's counter because there was a private party in the restaurant and the bar was full. Waiters were very kind and attentive. Hey there,This is my first time on Yelp! I created an account to leave a review for the delightful Sarah. Sarah is an excellent, professional, courteous host who greeted us warmly with a smile as soon as we came in. We came in on a busy Friday night and fortunately were able to be seated, although at a very strange table by the piano and tv. My wife was unhappy with the table so I asked Sarah if we might be able to switch tables. Sarah graciously understood and said that she would see if there was any opening in the reservations to get us seated at a better table. She returned after a moment, said she was able to switch around some reservations, and escorted us to our new table, which was a booth!! This small act by this kind host made my night, and because of Sarah I will definitely be returning to Huber's. More...

Walked in after  holiday shopping for a hot buttered rum. It is my first time and the drink is fabulous. On top of that, I watched the bartender make  three Spanish coffees (for which Huber's is famous) and was sorry I didn't pick that first. Definitely worth a visit to Portland's oldest landmark bar. Make a beeline for the back room, it's where you want to be sitting. Spanish Coffee is fun to watch get made, but will get you wasted; opt for a fresh squeezed grapefruit juice instead. I love Hubers and have been going here for 25 years.  It's a gem of Portland and perfect in so many ways. Love jimmy the owner - he is unbelievable and the staff has always been extraordinary    If you have not had the Spanish coffee go get one (tho honestly it's not as good as it used to be) but still fun to experience in the oldest bar in portland.    Saturday night the hostess at the side entrance to the bar check in ... she thinks she is something really special.  She was not personable or sweet.  They need to get rid of her sour ass attitude as she was offending customers left and right.  There is so much competition in Portland for restaurants and bars to capture people's money that you can't act like you are doing people a favor to get them a seat.   I took a friend that had not been before and she will have the memory of some snarky girl treating customers like she owned the place.  Other than that Hubers is great. I've only ever been to the bar side but everything has always been great ! Love the atmosphere, one of Portland's oldest bars. All servers and presentation have always been fantastic. Hubers is well known for their Spanish coffees of course;)  so I have come here pretty regularly for those ! They also do a fun fire show when they prep them so be sure to order one! Bar tenders have always been very attentive and knowledgeable. I've ordered appetizers before too and food has always been great! Will make it back for actual dinner one day ! More...

Had an amazing experience! Wife and I had a very nice waitress that was prompt and courteous. We were seated right away and water at the table. Our order was taken in a timely manner and was delicious. We were seated next to the kitchen area and the cooks were very nice guys, friendly and funny. Back to the food... WOW!!! I had the filet mignon medium well it just melted in your mouth, wife had chicken and veggies and it was also an amazing plate! Are ya looking for something to talk about Go here . Why Well two words Spanish Coffee ! It's not only delicious but there is a show to go with it ! They prepare this amazing coffee right in front of you , describing the process . Loved every minute of it. Then , we had hot turkey sandwiches,  turkey Reuben  and the turkey cranberry- ALL WERE GREAT ! Loved the style of this place . Loved the service and smiling faces ! Here is what brought me though , it is the oldest restaurant in Portland . For that alone I had to come and see and wasn't disappointed.  It is history that is still living . Also, the staff care ! They were all so nice . Turkey is what they are known for and the turkey for each meal was very good ! Oh and the house made Cole slaw !!!! We really liked that as well.
