It has taken me 3 years to write this review but I still recall the great service I got from HS and Christine. Â Im very particular and Christine was on site and helped me with every detail. Â I had a small wedding of 25 people but we ended up with enough food to feed 50+. Â Communication was great and easy with the HS team. Â Im not the most articulate but Christine and Tres were able to put into action what I could only imagine. Â Food was great but service was the best. I have workes with this company in the past, so I know what type of quality they will bring to the table. Tress and his team will cook you delicious food at affordable prices whether it be for meetings, gatherings, or weddings.
I have never been disappointed with their food.
On type of that, the other vendors that did my wedding were recommended by Tress. So having a team working together that is already used to working together will help your wedding flow seemlessly.

Tress's service is always amazing. There were the other events he had catering for this past Saturday and yet nothing fell short of amazing. I'm blessed to find such a great catering service and restaurant. Our lumpia, pancit, empanadas, Mac salad, brisket and pulled pork were amazing. We decided to go with HS Catering for our wedding, based on recommendations from friends who have utilized them for catering and also after we had gone in for a tasting. Â The food was really on point and they are able to work with any palette or preference your heart desires! One star taken away for the communication unfortunately. Â Like another Yelper on this page, we sadly had a similar experience in regards to the communication aspect. We realized that unfortunately, the "then" coordinator seemed to be the problem...but last I heard, she is no longer at HS Catering. Â She seemed to not communicate important information to Tress. Â However, I decided to just contact Tress myself, and things went waaaay smoother after that and he was very accommodating to our needs.I can honestly recommend HS Catering, especially now that the previous coordinator is no longer there. Tress and HS Catering & Events were outstanding. They offered a food tasting at their restaurant and my wife and I were able to taste and select from a variety of dishes for our wedding. They also offered linens, silverware, lighting, set up and break down of rental equipment before and after the wedding. They also set up the cocktail hour for our guests, that including a great spread of finger foods. Tress and his team were very professional and easy to work with. Great communication months prior to our wedding date all the way up to the day of the event. Very reasonable prices and will work with your desired budget. Tress and his staff catered my wedding at Liberty Station in Point Loma, CA. He had us in to his restaurant to sample some dishes ahead of time, and worked with me and my fiancé to plan a menu that included dishes inspired from her native country (Azerbaijan). We hired Tress and Christine to cater our wedding for over 200 guest. We had sushi and tray passed for cocktail hour, family style dinner and late night snacks. The kids especially loved the smores station. I had a lot of request and they were so accommodating! We sincerely appreciate their professionalism. I know that it's not easy catering for over 200 people and they did it effortlessly. What’s your signature dish?
We are well known and loved for our creativity and flexibility. Our most popular dish though is our Braised Short Rib w/ Red Wine Demi over Garlic roasted potato. 80% of our clients who try this choose it for their event.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
I love to hear about what their theme is, what their favorite dishes are, and we try to put those together for a great event.
What do you love most about your job?
Cooking provides instant gratification when I serve a dish, the person eats it, then smiles. This is what my ultimate goal is.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always loved to cook. Wasn't sure I could put my love into a career. After 12 years in the business, I think I'm doing something right.
Why should our clients choose you?
We catered a wedding for a florist who has been in the business for over 20 years. I asked why with all the caterers that she know that she chose me? She told me that having worked events with me, she can clearly see that I still love to cook and have not gotten complacent in my skills. She says that this lends flavor to the food. Entrusting me with a wedding or event, I feel that I have to follow through and really wow people and make sure they were glad to have hired me.
