Meg loves going out with Sarah she especially loves the peanut butter and banana treats, it's good to find a trusted dog walker that thinks of your dogs needs and not just let them off the lead and run riot !!

Sarah is the consummate dog walker. Professional, friendly, experienced and extremely knowledgeable with a wealth of brilliant dog related advice. Our dog, Cosmo adores her and his walking pals. Every now and then I need someone to take one of my rescue dogs, Manolo out who has various issues, so needs one to one handling. Having trolled many dog walking websites I eventually came across Hounds on the Downs who offer a half hour walk on a one to one basis, perfect just what I was looking for. I subsequently made contact with the dog
walker, Sarah who arranged to meet a few days before I needed my dog to be taken
out. She arrived as agreed equipped with some homemade dogs treats which were
thoroughly enjoyed by Manolo . I explained what his issues were which were
taken on board. Sarah very kindly agreed to walk the route that I usually walk
Manolo, so that when he was taken out it would be familiar ground for him.
During the trial walk, Sarah was totally switched on, keeping an eye out at all
times for the things that I had said frighten Manolo, one being a runner, who
caught me by surprise. Manolo warmed to Sarah straight away regardless of his
issues, so obvioulsy picked up on the fact that she is a true dog lover. The
trial walk was a great sucess which filled me with confidence to let Sarah walk
him.

On the day of Manolos first walk, my Mother accompanied Sarah who got a
glowing report. She kept him on a loose lead but under control at all times,
equipped with treats should they be required. She avoided a large Huskey on
route as requested as it has been known for the two to get into a
confrontational situation and avoided several members of the public to be sure
Manolo was kept safe at all times. Sarah definately knows what she is doing with
dogs, which is a great relief to me as Manolo has issues having been rescued. As
a result I shall be recommending Sarah to anyone I know who needs their dog
walked as she did a fab job.

Sarah has been walking my Golden Retriever Henry for over 2 years, and helped me train him since he was 8 weeks old. I would strongly recommend Hounds On The Downs to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker/dog sitter. Sarah walks Henry and Sue (my 9 month Cocker Spaniel) sometimes every weekday. She is incredibly professional (in a friendly and informal way) and has also been very flexible with me for last minute walks or cancellations and changes to our needs.

She also goes above and beyond what is expected ; in one case recently, I went away for a week and Sue my Spaniel had a suspected phantom pregnancy, Sarah took her to the vets for me, kept her safe and kept a very close eye on her to make sure that no other symptoms were present. She also always keeps you very well informed of how your dogs are doing which is very kind. THANKS SARAH! xx More...

From talking to friends I know that Sarah goes way beyond other dog walkers. She genuinely cares about the dogs that she walks and has created a trusting relationship with Ziggy. If he did not feel relaxed and safe with her she would not get the amazing photos and videos that she does. Sarah not only walks my dog she also trains him , which has given me lots of confidence in owning a large breed. With Sarah's help Ziggy has grown into a dog that is often praised for good behaviour in the park! As others have said Sarah is reliable , trustworthy and I know that Ziggy is safe and cared for when he is out with her. Couldn't think how she could be better! More...

Sarah came to meet me the day after I arrived at my forever home. I was eight weeks old. She spent two hours with me and my humans, training them and getting to know us all. She has taken me under her her wing and at seven months old I now walk with the bigger dogs out on the Downs. I love Sarah.
