We currently have our 16 week cocker spaniel doing his puppy training. Maddie is so dedicated to teaching good behaviours and our Louis is absolutely loving (and learning) to be a well behaved pup!

My 14 month old dog Sally has been going to the Hound Lounge twice a week ever since she was 4 months old. Maddie and Lisa and the rest of the Hound Lounge team are wonderful, with an unwavering commitment to all the dogs in their care. I was recommended to Hound Lounge by my dog sitter. He was no longer able to do overnights. Spoke to Ashely about coming to see the facility. She was professional with a detailed email check list. Wanting to see if the pups were a good fit for daycare. She asked for all there updated vaccines. Met Ashely and Jackie to drop the pups off. Picked them up meeting Demitree. He let me know the pups were great. Gave me details of how they interacted with other pups. They both got A+ puppy cards welcoming them back.During there for two week stay. I emailed half way though checking in. Ashley wrote back saying there great. That my dachshund is in charge of the big dogs. That wasn't a surprise to me. He grew up with 34 foster Pitt bull pups. She did let me know that at night my girl would cry some. That they consoled her to reassure her she is fine. This was a new environment for her. It's normal for pups to be unsure there first visit. I have been involved with rescue over 15 years. I see the Importance in a half day trial. Day care might not be for every pup. For some it can be a very stressful area. Where others love being social playing all day. If some pups have anxiety with barking. It does create more anxiety with pups that in the same area. I was very happy Hound Lounge wanted us back. Was happier that they were not looking at just a money option. They were looking out for the pups in day care. They want a fun playful environment for everyone's pups.Had both my pups washed by Hound Lounge Groomers. I have never had a profession wash before. I have always washed them at home. Or a pet store with washing area. Have two hounds that can smell hounds.  They came back cleaner than they have ever been. There wash lasted for weeks was so good. I even e mailed Ashley thinking her grooming staff.About the negative reviews here. I always take the positive to see how many.  With any business you can't please everyone. Yes our dogs are our children. We are very protective of them wanting the best.If Hound Lounge wasn't a caring business. They would not be operating more than 17 years. Charlie, my Cavalier, loves the Hound Lounge and the staff have treated him beautifully. He has been groomed there several times and always with care. He has never had a nail cut too short, or a nick of any kind.I am very picky and a bit of a worrier, so to know Charlie is having fun and being treated with love, makes my leaving him for the day a worry free experience. My puppies home away from home and family away from family. This team is phenomenal. Ive been brining my pypuppy here for a few weeks and everyone the staff treats her like their own dog. They care for her while Im at work all day and I have peace of mind knowing they are helping her with basic training and making sure she gets plenty of exercise. Recently my puppy fell ill and the manager called me, urged me what to do and helped us save her life. She wont be able to go back until she has all her shots due to her lowered immune system but to have that support from them was invaluable. They text me to check up on her and say how much they miss her and its those personal touches that make a place like this feel like a family. More...

I rescued Mikey two years ago.  He had extreme separation anxiety.  I needed some place safe to leave him during the day while I worked. I found Hound Lounge and couldn't be happier.  Mikey has become a calm loving dog since coming to the Hound Lounge day care.  They all take time to play, cuddle and love on the dogs.   Mikey loves it there.   When I drive him there he knows when we get close and starts getting excited.  I also have him groomed.  Britini as all the groomers do a fantastic job.  He's still not easy to groom but they handle him perfectly and he always looks great!!  I will always bring him to Hound Lounge for day care and grooming.  Mikey and I have never been so happy.  Thank you! Everyone at the Hound Lounge are absolutely amazing! You can tell they love animals because of their interaction that I see with my dogs. I take my dogs in approximately every three weeks for maintenance grooming... And when I pick up my girls they always look wonderful. One of my dogs has sensitive skin so I need to bring in a special shampoo for her... And they are always so excepting of that. More...

This is most definitely my favorite dog grooming shop to go too! If you want to spoil your dog and go somewhere with AMAZING customer service and care for your dog, I would definitely go to the Hound Lounge. They have an amazing environment for your pup and unlike other dog grooming salons that put your dog in a cage to wait they have a play area for your dog to make new friends! I have come multiple times and the dog groomer Eelan and manager Britni have always taken amazing care of my dog as he comes perfect every time. I brought my feisty 8 month old Coton de Tulear to get groomed today. He had been wearing a cone collar after surgery and was terribly matted.  His groomer did an amazing job.  He isn't the easiest one to hold still.  Everyone is wonderful and they are so nice to these little guys.  The main reason that I was attracted to Hound Lounge is because the dogs are not caged and there is an enclosed area with other small dogs to play with until I pick him or my other dog up.  They also have 1/2 day and full day daycare.  Just a few weeks ago, they added overnight boarding.  I highly recommend Hound Lounge. We’re thrilled with the progress our nutty little 9 month old meat stick, Chewie, has made since attending day care here x2 a week. His behaviour has improved greatly. He’s generally over excited by absolutely everything- but we can see now he’s really trying to do the right thing and calm himself down. He’s walking at heel better, he’s more responsive to the commands he knows, and has much better manners. Well on his way to being a good boi, thanks to the gentle guidance of the pros at THL. 10/10! OMG, Brittney at the Hound Lounge is Walnut Creek is amazing.. Brittney is very grounded, centered, positive, personable and very talented. . My dog Lulu gets excited to get groomed, she starts wagging her tail when pull into driveway. My shitzu gets complimented all the time and people asked me where I get her groomed. She looks like a show dog, think cut is called, Japanese Fusion Puppy Cut.I live in Orange County most of the time and work in NorCal 9 days out of the month.. I've only ever come into this business for a nail trim/grinding for my little Ginger. This review will be about the results of that, and my experience at the location. Hound Lounge allows walk-ins for nail grooming, and they do a fantastic job! Ginger and I always leave with her nails trimmed down short, WITHOUT any nails being cut too far, and I couldn't appreciate it more. The employees are always very friendly and personable. The front desk receptionists have always been nice to chat to, and are never rude or make me feel awkward. The energy in this place just feels... welcoming!While Ginger is in the other room getting her nails done, I can wait by the front desk, pay for the nail service, and say, "Hi!" to the dogs in the daycare as they come up to greet me. By the time I learn one dog's first name, Ginger is ready to go and we are out the door to continue our day.Since I've lived in Walnut Creek, this is the only groomer I've been to and WILL go to for the foreseeable future. This review is for Britni! She is the sweetest person and extremely talented at what she does. I've never been disappointed when she has taken care of my baby Buster. He can have an extreme attitude and she always handles him perfectly. They have staff up front that watch the dogs in he day care area so I feel safe leaving him there.  Britni knows all her customers and dogs by name and makes you feel at home. Missy Molly, my shih tzu, is a rescue with scaredy dog syndrome.  The staff at Hound Lounge helped her acclimate to the little dog area.  She has been a boarder and day care kiddo for over 5 Years.  She knows when I pull up - she is sitting up in her cuddler, tail wagging, ready to go play with her buddies.  This is her second home- she loves it. I love the hound lounge for my dog toffee.  The staff is great  and they are always so warm and welcoming.   They are very accommodating with are work hours.   Toffee always comes home tired and happy from a day of play.  Plus we also use their grooming services and really love Gabe.  I highly recommend hound lounge for doggie day care! The SF Hound Lounge is a second home for my beloved small dog Beatrice.  Because she is high energy and needs other animals, daycare during the days when i am at work or cant take her to the park is the only solution.  Thankfully, the Hound Lounge is there for Beatrice to spend the day playing and socializing with the other dogs.  She has a good time.  I know this because she comes home exhausted and gets excited in the morning as we drive up.  The staff is always friendly, professional and welcoming.  They keep my dog happy which makes me happy. Yes I am one of the people who travels with my Chikita! Left LAX and landed in SF realized she wasn't very presentable!  once I arrived asked the hotel staff what was a great place to pamper my baby? I have to say they send me to such a great place that i won't be able to find another like this back home =[.. Only 18 mins from my hotel. Once you come in the first thing you will notice is the friendly staff. I did call ahead of time very last minute but they were able to pencil me in. My chikita was so happy and didn't fight the staff! You can tell by her smile! Thank you for the great customer service and great job on my doggy!!! Will use again on future trips. More...
