We ask them back again each year because they are amazing and they help us to scale our entertainment in keeping with our fundraising goals. We surly made the right choice hiring Hot Pursuit for our 50th Wedding Anniversary party. Delene and Barry are very professional, accommodating and easy to work with. Our genre of music was the 50's, 60's and classic rock with some country. Delene mixed in our playlist of favorite songs which was very special to us. The highlight was when Delene sang a special request and Barry played his Saxophone, what a musician! Hot Pursuit and Big Mountain Bluegrass played music for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. As a groom, I expected the bride to have all the fun on the wedding day, but I can honestly say it was one of the best days of my life. It was dreamlike. And it was largely due to the musicianship, professionalism, and energy brought by Delene (band lead), Barry, Beth, and the rest of the band members.During the ceremony, we had their three-piece ensemble play classical songs, jazzy songs, and a couple special Cold Play instrumental songs that they learned especially for us. The three-piece ensemble played a mix of bluegrass, jazz, oldies, newies, and just easy listening music for cocktail hour. And they brought the party with a five-piece ensemble that played great dance music at the reception. Without hesitation they catered to me by setting up my guitar beforehand and letting me use a microphone to play a surprise song for my bride during the reception! The drummer even played with me a couple times during the chorus to nudge me back on beat. And as a non-professional musician who was slightly terrified of playing in front of 150 people, I was thankful for the help.Delene energetically engaged the whole crowed as MC and DJ at the reception when the band was taking short breaks. She really did a wonderful job.You never really know how things are going to turn out when planning a big event like this. But the Hot Pursuit Band and the Big Mountain Bluegrass Band exceeded my expectations in every way. I got so many comments from our guests about how wonderful the band was. We hired The Hot Pursuit band to play at a celebration of life ceremony. Delene and her husband were the perfect fit! Their music and talent were just what we needed. Her voice and his musical skills were mind-blowing. They just kept bringing out new instruments. We are HUGE Hot Pursuit fans. Delene was incredibly communicative throughout the entire planning process. The playlists offered more than we needed but the band was flexible and able to meet requests too. Hot Pursuit really delivered on the classy-to-party vibe, and everything was incredibly smooth - most importantly the sound! I received countless compliments. When Delene transitioned the crowd from our dance to the first dance for guests, Jeff and I turned to each other and said "Have you ever seen so many couples flock to the dance floor?" Very engaging artists, we really happy that we booked them for our wedding reception. Guys performed special request songs for us including those they had to learn especially for our event, really appreciate it. They are very multi instrumental so we had jazz for dinner and everything from country to rock for dance pArt. They also acted as MC and announced all our scheduled main acts like first dance cake cutting etc. Guys were very engaging with a crowd , everybody from my mom to our age friends enjoyed the music. For my husband's 70th birthday party, we decided to go with live music. We hired Delene and Barry (Hot Pursuit Band) to provide entertainment. You get double your money's worth because they perform live and also provide DJ music. Everybody had a fabulous time dancing. We have these comments from our guests:" I've never danced so hard in my life"" Can we send you a thank you note for being invited at your party?"" The band played to all age groups with many genres"" We have never partied this hard in our life"" We enjoyed the party thoroughly" and on and on...We saw friends dancing that we had never seen danced before. We would hire the Hot Pursuit Band again in the future because we know they deliver the goods. Delene and Hot Pursuit were just wonderful to work with. My husband and I got married 12/13/14 and from the moment that I contacted Delene she was a joy. Professional to the max, all emails were answered FAST. Any questions I had were answered and I felt we were always on the same page. Last minute changes as well as a few reorganizations of the night's festivities were all accommodated. Our guests LOVED the music. Our guests have been raving about them all month. People danced all night, which is just what we wanted. We had 4 hours of band and 1 hour of DJ- it was all great. Also we opted to for their new lighting. It was amazing- made the ceiling look like a blue night sky. They truly made our wedding celebration magical. All the songs we asked them to play they did and they were excellent MCs for our toasts. We held our wedding in the Crown Room at the Fairmont in San Francisco on  11/29/2014.  One of the key components of the wedding was to be the band so we searched high and low across California and found the Hot Pursuit Band in Southern California.  They came all the way up to San Francisco and we have to say there is no better band in the history of weddings we have been to than this band!!!!!  They were absolutely spectacular.  They played beautiful Irish melodies during the cocktail hour held in the Fairmont Garden and then came up to the top of the Fairmont during the reception and had the entire 200 guests dancing the entire night long.  They played everything we requested to the tee including songs that they had to learn from scratch.  In addition, they have a DJ that plays any song you request during the interlude.  I cannot tell you how many compliments I received from our guests since the wedding of how amazing this band was and requests of how they can hire them for their own events.  Not only did they play the perfect music sung beautifully be Delene, but the intimacy of their MC ing was by far the best I have ever seen.  Delene's personality and charisma is just the perfect recipe for a classy and fun wedding!!I am a very critical customer so for anyone reading I am telling you that they are by far the best wedding band I have ever seen and I am so grateful that I found them for my wedding!PS:  I also wanted a lot of Irish music played at this wedding which they did without hesitation and without missing a beat!  They can do everything and perfectly.  I wish there were more stars I could give them. My group, the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band, hired Delene and the Hot Pursuit Band to provide the music for entertainment and dancing at our Annual Tartan Ball. It is a Scottish function and we needed a group that could play something that would suit all ages from teens to octogenarians and Hot Pursuit did a great job of pleasing everyone. In addition, they learned some Scottish tunes for some special folk dances that we always do at our ball. The band bent over backwards to meet our needs and they were all excellent musicians. We hired Hot Pursuit to do the music at our wedding (held at Ponte Winery in Temecula). It was a smaller wedding so we had just a singer and musician but you would never guess that only two people were performing, they were so good! We were able to submit a list of our favorite songs and the group added others that were fitting for the reception and after dinner party. They are very talented musicians and singers and can do any genre you like. During the time they weren't playing, they are able to play recorded music as well and are happy to take requests.Our wedding was on a budget and they were able to put together what we needed for our musical tastes and budget.
