Q&A

I love working with clients. I enjoy building good therapeutic relationships and teaching clients new skills to move forward with their life. I love seeing how effective CBT can be, especially when the client initially presents unsure how effective it would be. To be working in a role where I am able to help people with similar problems to the ones that I saw first-hand with a member of my own family, and which were cured with CBT, is unbelievably rewarding. Seeing people change their lives for the better and knowing I’ve helped them do that is the best part of my job.

I was inspired to start my own business as a therapist so that I would not be restricted by company/NHS policies stating that only a set number of CBT sessions can be offered.

I'm accredited by the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). The BABCP maintains high standards for therapists in the UK, ensuring that you get a high standard therapy. I am an experienced practitioner. I have worked within a range of mental health services for the last 20 years, working with service users with varying degrees of mental health issues. For over 3 years I have studied CBT and developed my skills in offering clients effective CBT. I have also completed training in humanistic and person-centred therapy.
I am experienced in treating depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, excessive worry, phobias, trauma, anger, insomnia, health anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
