We specialise in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) and Compassion Focused Therapy.

My experience in Hope Haven Place was very pleasant. Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed an emergency appointment and was seen to straight away. I was greeted very warmly when I came in and was taken care of immediately. The environment Hope Haven has is so welcoming and warm, it definitely helped in a stressful situation. My experience of Hope Haven Place was very positive , welcomed with a very calm inviting environment and not at all clinical which made me very at ease considering it was my first time attending therapy.
Elaine on my initial assessment meeting really diminished any concerns I had about therapy and really reduced my anxiety within minutes of meeting one another.
Working with her has majorly helped me and given me a better quality of life which I never sought possible.
I would highly recommend this service.

What do you love most about your job?
My job is very interesting but also very rewarding seeing people's life's change and improve so that they can experience life to their full potential
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked in mental health for many years and during this time I realised that I wanted to offer an informal environment where people felt comfortable talking about their problems in a non-judgemental warm and safe environment.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe in high standards of care and that mental health should be recognised as any other health issue. I have studied and worked in health care since I was 16 years old both in a general and mental health setting. I thrive on getting to the source of the problem rather than just medicating the issue or numbing it. I believe that the conventional and alternative approach can work together when appropriate.
