Hoosier Photo Booth
Bloomington, IN, Monroe
We bring a personalized portable photography studio to provide customized prints to match your organization and event. We provide fun for your event attendees, and a high quality souvenir to take home. For corporate events, we provide effective marketing tool for your event and your organization.
Our setup has more in common with a photography studio than a typical photo booth. It is neither a metal enclosure nor a cloth tent. Instead, it's a ten by ten foot black backdrop and a short side rail on each side. The backdrop gives enough room so large groups like teams, committees, and families can all fit into one photo. The two side rails are to prevent your guests from accidentally photo bombing each other.
But that's not all that is different. Guests don't have to take their own photos. We send photographer with our photo booth to ensure each shot delights each guest. The photographer adapts to different sized groups and different height guests. If someone in the shot is blocked by the person in front of them, has their eyes closed, or someone in the shot just doesn't like it, the photographer will happily retake it. And finally, to make sure these shots turn into great prints, we use a professional grade camera and printer, and the same studio flash used in fashion shoots.
After your event, these personalized souvenirs will adorn refrigerators, desks, and office bulletin boards for years to come, giving your event more exposure. We provide an online gallery for your attendees to share their photos on social media, and we provide the event organizer with a high resolution images with copyright release to use in newsletters, marketing, thank-you cards, etc.

Hoosier Photo Booth Q&A
What makes photo booths such a great alternative to traditional photographers?
I'm not sure I would consider a photo booth as an alternative to traditional photographers, as each serves a different purpose. Traditional photographers are looking for candid moments "in the wild", or stage and pose expected photos like board members of organizations, and family members for personal events.
A photo booth on the other hand, has no list of "must have" shots, and are directed by the participants themselves, rather than the photographer. The people in our booth can do whatever they want. They can have a serious pose, a goofy pose, or a little of each. Other differences are that traditional photographers do a lot of post-processing to prepare the best possible photos to the client at a later time. With a photo booth, the photos are printed immediately, and the guests can show each other how great or silly they looked at the event.
What photo booth props do you offer?
We keep our prop selection fresh, and select props that are suitable for an event.
Perhaps what we don't offer is a better question. We don't offer are cheap cardboard props on a stick, gross props from too many events, and we don't offer weapon props. There is enough real weapons in the world today, and we don't want to encourage weapon use, especially in a frivolous manner. That said, if prop weapons are important to your event, we will include them if you either bring them yourself, or pay an additional fee for us to bring them.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy all aspects of this business. Hunting props, taking the best quality photos in-camera, improving our processes, but my most favorite part is watching someone show their photo to their friends, with glee
What inspired you to start your own business?
Love of photography, and distaste of having stupid bosses.
Why should our clients choose you?
Each customer has different preferences, so it isn't a one size fits all situation. If what we do fits what you want, then you should choose us.
