Yan Schwartzman was absolutely the best photographer for our wedding. We knew his photos looks really good online, but in person, we were really impressed and surprised at his level of enthusiasm and professionalism. He had a lot of good ideas for different photo angles and poses and was very adaptable when we made different requests at our wedding. For example, we had purchased a permit for a photography session in a park called the Leonard Buck Garden — when we learned it would be a little bit rainy on our wedding day, we still want to go there, and Yan came along without hesitation. He took full advantage of the rain and all of his photos show the rain in it’s in a beautiful way. We hope his equipment was OK! He didn’t seem to mind. Also, whenever we were running behind schedule, even though he wanted to get a few extra shots, he still kept our schedule without any issues. He also made a great recommendation to ask the family members to come to the wedding an hour early, and we were able to take our time to take great pictures of our large families without rushing it later on. He also had the ability to make bridal party members be in a jovial mood as they had their pictures taken — Everyone had a blast with him as our photographer. Also was kind enough to offer 2 large canvasses as a referral bonus! Our pictures turned out great, and with in just one week after the wedding which was super prompt and earlier than we expected. The website he uses to display his photos is also very user-friendly. His photos outdoors and indoors were of good quality and lighting. Yan was a great photographer to work with for my wedding. He is very professional and knew all the right angles to capture! We did a first look before our morning ceremony and when I expressed my concerns about time, Yan assured me that we would get all the pictures we needed before the ceremony with plenty of time to spare and he made sure of it! Having Yan cover our wedding was a pleasure. Photographs are beautiful, they were completed and made available promptly, and he made great use of the location and scenery. What I would praise even more than the photographs are Yan's professionalism, ability to stay on top of things, and how he conducts business. The very first time we spoke with Yan, we were able to schedule a prompt in-person meeting. During the in-person meeting we received a great deal of detail about what he envisioned, and put together a very detailed agenda. We were able to put together a custom package of exactly what we needed. The very next day we had the write up and a contract ready to be reviewed. Yan Schwartzman is a phenomenal wedding photographer! From the moment we met him for our engagement shoot (he arrived early), we found him professional, easy going and skilled. He is easy to get in touch with, open to hearing your ideas, and and catered to our photography style preferences. He was understated and humble, never attempted to boss guests around or steal the show, and was fairly priced. He also has a way of making couples feel completely at ease and candid in front of the camera. We asked Yan to take photos for us similar to the style of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’ royal engagement photos (focused, crisp and candid), and he nailed the engagement shoot on an extremely cold day. Yan took time to set up photos from a variety of angles and vantage points. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else! Yan had the best profile of work and the best pricing. We got quotes from other photographers and they wanted twice as much for only 150 or so photos and 4 hour of shooting. Yan completely scheduled and structured the 7 hours we asked him to be there and we were able to get every photo he took. Unfortunately we had a nor’easter on our wedding day but that didn’t stop Yan from getting gorgeous outside shots of us. We got all the shots we wanted and were able to spend all of cocktail hours and the whole time with our guests. Yan was an AMAZING photographer for our ceremony and reception! He managed to get the most incredible candid shots, and made us feel very comfortable with some of the more posed positions. He was creative with the scenery at our venue, and we are beyond excited about the album he's creating for us. From the first day I met Yan, I knew he would be my wedding photographer. After many other appointments with different photographers, I was missing that personal piece in which I felt I was just a number and a date on the calendar. Not with Yan. I first met Yan at a bridal show at Galloping Hill Golf Course and instantly fell in love with him and his work. From our first meeting, to our engagement session, to the day of the wedding, Yan was polite, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. He is a true master of his craft. I could not say enough amazing things about Yan Schwartzman. From the beginning he was very professional and easy to work with. Always on time and ready to get down to business. Yan is absolutely INCREDIBLE. My husband and I could not be happier that we went with Yan!! Not only is his work stunning, but he is a true professional and at every step he went above and beyond for us. He was always kind, accommodating, quick to respond to any and all questions and we received our photographs and album ahead of expectation! From the moment we met him, we immediately felt comfortable as he's one of the nicest people and we could tell that he has a deep passion for his work. That passion shows as we were blown away with his portfolio and then blown away even more when we received our wedding proofs! He has a great eye for lighting and capturing those perfect "in the moment" shots. We now have a treasure trove of photos to cherish that perfectly captured our day. I met Yan at the Westfield Street Fair, "Festifall" while running a booth for the boutique/gallery I manage. As I was applying tattoos to Yan's daughters, I struck up a conversation with him about the gallery and found out that Yan was a photographer. Quickly after, he said he was currently focusing mostly on wedding and family photography. This was GREAT because I was looking for a photographer for my upcoming wedding in 2017.

Since we have had the pleasure of having Yan in our home on Christmas Eve to capture some holiday family memories. Yan is easy to work with, kind and generous. We plan to spend some outdoor time wwith Yan this spring to capture some engagement and family photos and we are thrilled to have booked him as our wedding photographer. More...
