Charlotte helped us out so much by looking after our dogs Bella & Beau when we went to a family wedding yesterday.
I felt completely comfortable leaving them with Charlotte in our house and I know they had a great time with her.
Both of them were relaxed and happy which just shows how good Charlotte is.
It is very obvious that she adores animals and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her to anyone.

Rocky our GSD absolutely loved having HL Pets come to stay with him whilst we were away. He was taken out for some lovely walks and bonded so well with Charlotte. Charlotte has spent the last 10 days living in and caring for our dogs/cat and fish. This is no mean feat as one of my dogs is stranger/dog reactive. What do you love most about your job?
The thing I love most about my job is that I get to spend my time with an array of characters as each pet has a different unique personality. No two days are the same, I can spend one day cleaning out cages and coops and getting covered in mud, while the next day I can be basking in the sun walking a dog along a beach or in the forest. Plus it's always a bonus when you are greeted by a very happy excitable pet who's very pleased to see you.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have worked within the animal care industry for over 15 years and spent my further education studying animal care and zoology. A couple of years ago I became ill and had to give up work, which devastated me. Through my recovery I started pet sitting and looking after my friends pets while they went on holiday or had long days at work. I finally decided that I had the skills and passion to provide an alternative service to kennels for people who worked busy lives or loved taking holidays. Pets are part of the family so people need to know their pets are looked after with the best possible care, which I hope I can provide as I treat all pets as if they were my own.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have dedicated my life to the love of animals. I have a BSc Zoology (hons), National Diploma in Animal Care, Professional Pet sitting and dog walking business diploma. I am a memerber of narpsUK (national association of registered pet sitters and dog walkers) and have over 15 years experience working with animals including the RSPCA, Colchester Zoo, Ladybird kennels and cattery, Colchester Cat Rescue and Spring Lodge Veterinary Hospital to name a few. I am fully insured with a specialist insurer and have a clean up to date DBS check and certificate (formally CRB). I offer a personalised service to fit around you and your pets needs.
Dog Walking
Healthy dogs crave and need routine: continuity of care, environment, exercise and diet. There are times, however, when it is impossible to give a dog the walks and attention it needs. That is where I can come in, walking your dog/s one to one, ensuring they get exercise and stimulation as part of that daily routine.
One to one walking for 30 mins, 45 mins or 1 hour.
Pet Sitting
Minimise the stress of going away by having someone stay in your home. Your pets stay in their home environment, normal routine and smalls, which helps reduce anxiety. I will stay in your home overnight where I feed, walk, clean, play with and generally keep your pet company. Your pet will never be left longer than 4-5 hours and never left alone overnight.
Day Minding
I can be there to let your pets out, walk the dog, feed them, even clean their cages and ensure your pets get the attention and exercise they need to be healthy and stress free. I will stay with your pet from 2 - 6 hours.
Pop-in Service
Pop-in to feed, let out, sit with and keep company.
Visits for 15mins, 30 mins, 45 mins upto 1 hour.
Pet Housing Clean
Providing a full disinfectant clean using ANIGENE HLD4V, dry and changing of the bedding (I don't provide the bedding.)
Can clean any size of animal housing including cages, hutches, coops, kennels, vivariums etc.
