Stan spent his first day at home from home yesterday as a practice run for his 'sleepover'! As a neurotic doggy mum I was worried about it, but the lovely staff made me feel really at ease and even reassured me when I made the inevitable lunch time phone call to them to see how he was! We use home from home to board our dog when we go away with the family.

This time due to our wedding we wanted to have our dog there but not all day as it would not be fair on him nor us, therefore I booked for Tom (brilliant man who is good at handling our boxer cross) to come to the wedding venue and walk our dog along with getting him ready so he can partake in our photographs.

Tom did all I asked for without any hesitation, he is so good with our dog I know I did not have to worry one bit at leaving him with him.
Once the photographs where done, Tom took our dog back to the kennels where he had a lovely 4-5 night stay and play sessions.

I know I never need to stress about our dog whilst he is in the care of this great team, I know he is loved and well looked after and gets a good play along with walks. More...

Great place to have your dogs stay. The care they receive is amazing. Bobby has boarded a few times now and he just loves it. We certainly have no worries in going away. He has done many of the training sessions with Cat since he was small and just adores her she is fantastic with him. We wouldn't want him to go anywhere else. We've attended 3 training courses now with our dog and would definitely recommend them. Gemma was our trainer each time and she is calm and patient and really knows her job. Cat and Gemma have very kindly judged a couple of our dog shows at Cottingham Equestrian Centre and their friendly attitude and approach has always been noted by both staff and competitors.
Cat and Gemma have always been professional and fair in their judging, and have been more than happy to answer any of our competitors questions and offer feedback. I attended a puppy training course with my cockapoo puppy at Home from Home last year. Being a first time dog owner I learned many things whilst at training, even getting tips on the basic recall which we struggled with. Gemma was our trainer and she always explained things and took us through each command, twice if needed. Gemma was friendly and you can tell she really loves her job. We still, occasionally, bump into one of the other puppies who was in our class and they both recognise each other (as do the owners!) and enjoy a play on the field. Our husky Kaya has stayed here a couple of times when we go away. She stayed last week and i decided to put her in the hillside accommodation. When i went to collect her i was told she found the hillside too quiet and was stressed so she was moved to the other accommodation where there are more dogs and she was much happier. This shows not only that they pay attention to the animals in their care but also how honest they are! They could have easily charged me the hillside price and i wouldn't have known any different! I came to home from home to encourage my cocker spaniel puppy to familiarise himself with operating in active environments surrounded by dogs. Progress wasn't guaranteed as he was extremely timid and suspicious of any other dog or person and despite my previous efforts he really struggled to socialize and would get aggressive if he felt overwhelmed. After discussing this with Cat, she used her expertise to develop a system for entering into the training; introducing him slowly with the group, where he would not find it overwhelming. The change in him was drastic and it remains, in my eyes, the best thing I could have done for my now confident and very happy little man. Since then we have gone on to completed the Bronze and Silver training packages and are now on with agility, with the aim to continue on to the Gold.
As a fairly experienced dog owner, I didn't expect to see much improvements from training, but will happily concede that I was very wrong with that assumption.

Our 3 cats are regular guests at Home from Home Cattery - and you cannot fault the way they are looked after they always come home happy and well cared for. . the staff are friendly and helpful and genuinely care about the pets in their care, nothing is a problem even when giving one of my cats his medication which is always a tricky job. They will upload pictures of your pets so you can see how they are getting on wherever you are in the world..

Already absolutely love this place! We booked our French Bulldog puppy for two day care sessions and both times he came home super happy and definitely ready for a sleep! Our pup, Tobie, was only just old enough to be going out and everyone at Home from Home Pet Care was reassuring and gave us every ounce of confidence that he will have the time of his life.

The second morning we took him, he couldn't wait to get in! We got great feedback from how he was doing during his walks and play sessions and felt like we could Ask any questions no matter how silly� It just confirmed how much care and attention they give your pets when we arrived to pick him up and he was at the front desk having puppy cuddles � we cannot wait to book him back in!! My dog sadie has been going to Home from Home for 11 yrs . The boarding and day care is brilliant . Every one is very caring and knows all the needs of the pets that go in there care .Also the grooming is very good .

This is a brilliant place for dogs! Agility and dog training classes run by Gemma are fantastic, she is a brilliant trainer and has helped us so much with basic obedience that we are now doing agility which is so much fun! We also regularly use the day care facilities which are great too. All the staff are really friendly and Murphy happily goes off with his tail wagging so I know he is happy here.
