Staff were amazing , they upgraded our room as it was our anniversary. We have cakes in the room wishing us happy anniversary and swans made out of towels with roses on bed.
From check in to departing all the staff were polite and professional .
The breakfast was fab . Cold buffet had something for everyone and the hot food was fresh and delicious.
The two breakfast staff were very friendly !

We booked our table for Afternoon Tea for 2pm. We were seated at our table only to be told that Afternoon Tea didn't start until 3pm and we could wait in the lounge. I explained that I had even quoted our voucher number when booking. No mention of a complementary drink or beverage was offered (for their mistake) and was told that we could go for a walk on the seafront if we preferred, which we did. The time was now approximately 2.20pm. Upon returning at 2.50pm we could see that there were already other guests seated and served tea. Our Afternoon Tea itself was delicious. Booked Sunday lunch for today, beautiful food and staff were lovely, very professionally run place and food reasonably priced for what you get, it was gorgeous, up on the clifftops in Penarth there are lovely views from this hotel, seating area outside is gorgeous with a fountain in the middle, we loved it and will be back � the whole place was spotless too �

Just returned from a weekend stay here. Room was quaint and had lovely views over the Channel though was a little on the small side. It was also very warm with no air conditioning but there was a ceiling fan and a free standing tower fan in the room. Dinner on Friday night was superb. Crab and lobster starter is amazing and the sirloin steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. Saturday breakfast was a let down by comparison with over cooked, unseasoned food but it improved on Sunday morning. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Will definitely stay again. More...

Just come back from an overnight stay here with my mam for my birthday?what a stunning place! we stayed in a beautiful room with a beautiful sea view? the spa area was very relaxing and got amazing back massages that left me & my Mam feeling great! Only let down was the prices on food & wine is very expensive and breakfast this morning was dissapointing, staff seemed lost? very quiet, only us and 3 other tables with people and waited 50 minutes for our cooked breakfasts and when arrived to realise it was not worth the wait at all Other than that, beautiful break away? Treated my sister to a spa day here yesterday it’s lovely ... being small it’s a lot more personal and you don’t feel like your on a conveyor belt! A big plus for me (I am an aromatherapist) is the masseuses are not fresh out of college as they are in other hotel spas in the area, so you actually get a good massage of experienced ladies who actually listen to you. Beautiful views over the Chanel from the sun loungers on the balcony, fab food and very friendly professional staff. We had the perfect day ... the only downside is the day flew by so quick! My mother and I came to Holm House for spa treatments and for lunch as a pre-celebration before my wedding. The sun was shining and every member of staff were not just professional but genuinely kind. At the mention of my wedding the lovely girl in the spa passed that information on to the kitchen staff and they surprised me with a complimentary dessert with “Congratulations and good luck” written in white chocolate. It was so thoughtful and lovely! Our body scrubs and facials were amazing! The food was delicious and the facilities just blew us away. Went to a wedding reception hosted at the hotel, the venue worked perfectly with enough room for a band in one end of the hall, and the bar on the other end. Plus quieter side rooms, with a second bar made the hotel perfect for a wedding with a variety of guests. The staff were kind and helpful throughout! More...

Great spa with lovely staff and gorgeous afternoon tea. Only issue is the changing area is a bit too small and there could do with being more hooks for robes and towels by the pool and showers

Love this hotel and spa.. all staff are amazing and proved this when i accidentally left a speical item behind. Nothing is too much and the hotel felt almost homely. Rooms are gourgeous and stylish. We stayed at the Holm hotel to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We could not fault this hotel. We had a luxurious room with a picturesque view. The spa was an amazing experience the best we've ever visited. Just a perfect way to relax with a first class service . The food in the restaurant was excellent.
