I've always received excellent service, whether it has been sales or servicing.For those with an interest in local history, this building used to be one of two tram terminus/maintenance buildings, the other being located at Folkestone Road. The tram service in Dover was the first in Kent, opened in 1897, and remained in service until 31st December 1936. The tram system consisted of some 3 miles of track throughout the town, and was a very popular, affordable and vital service for its citizens at the time. More...

We had an emergency stop over in this garage on the way to the ferry. Never used it before but they could not have been more helpful. Spoke to Lewis in Service Department before arriving and he was waiting for us when we got there. He diagnosed the problem, had a replacement part and fitted it all in an hour in order that we could catch the ferry. Could not ask for better service and cannot praise them highly enough. They don't make garages like this any more! I own a 1991 VW Golf GTI soft top , the same garage has serviced it for the last 26 years, since it was born, moreover its been serviced by the same man, Mr Phil Bing. Of course he has moved up the chain so probably does not get his hands on the car very often theses days. Its in great shape and has only done 68K miles and now lives in a warm garage and only does about 300 miles per year. Phil retires next month both the car and I will miss him and wish him well for the future. It will be over to Allan to do the baby sitting, whatever I love this garage and all its staff. Real mechanics who are not totally reliant on diagnostics, they can really use a tool kit! More...

Sadly one review which is blatantly obvious from a individual who was unable to get his own way and felt it necessary to attempt to slur our very good name and almost perfect record of outstanding customer service. Which can be fully supported and seen by any person wishing to view themselves, Hollis Motors have been in the top five dealers for SEAT and VW group for many years and noted for excellent service in both sales and after sales. I can't rate this garage highly enough. Last December I had a rear brake problem and they managed to fit the repair in at very short notice and whilst the car was with them they spotted a fan belt tensioner problem. I really should have noticed this as the squealing noise coming from under the bonnet was rather loud, but I guess I had got used to it! I had a 200+ mile travel plan for that weekend and due to the Workshop Manager working his magic to get the work finished, I was able to travel as planned. I think they are the best around for their Customer Service/Care and competitive pricing. I highly recommend this garage. More...
