My family has been going to Holland for years. As my kids grew and went through intense photography phases, Holland staff were wonderfully patient and helpful to them--doing some teaching along with providing the developing/printing services. We have had them do anything from printing regular photos for family to more complicated things. Most recently, they helped me brainstorm ideas about gifts. I sent them 3 files and they designed the item for me. Printing on the high quality item was fast and everything turned out beautifully. Holland Photo has been my go to photo lab since I moved to Austin in 1992. Once the Morrison's took over the photo lab, the quality and service improved.  Holland Photo is a great lab for all the photographers in the Austin area and beyond. If you're outside of Austin and you're looking for a lab to send your film, or have prints made, you can't make a better decision than sending it to Holland Photo. My go to photolab. I live in Albuquerque and ship my film out here to be processed. They know and understand film- to the point where if I accidentally mix different sheet films together in one box they can separate them in pitch black just by feeling the differences in the cut-out notches. I was visiting Austin from California and I always travel with a disposable camera, I love the way film images look. On this trip I was able to finish the camera and wanted to get it developed locally. I was able to find Holland Photo and they even waited after they closed for me to come drop off the film, that was amazing! The photos were due to be done the day we left which was also perfect. However, I never received the phone call that they were ready, so naturally I left Austin without my photos. I didn't realize it until I was home at my local photo store that the photos had been left behind, I was so upset. Luckily, Holland was so cool that they agreed to send my photos to me for a small shipping charge. I am so so grateful they were able to work with me and get my beloved images back to me. I'm so excited to see how they turn out and I highly recommend Holland for all your Austin photo needs. Every time I've ordered photos from here, the service has been exceptional, from 4x6 nice luster prints, to large custom sizes for frames, it's always beautiful. Kate has impressive customer service, it was my first time calling the company and ordering a print. she was able to tell me great information about each paper quality and was able to up-sale me over the phone. I  used to frequent Holland Labs when they were situated on MLK at the end of Guadalupe and I was a starving young photography student. They were one of the two recommended labs in town for developing photos. So when I needed some slides converted to JPEG files in a hurry, I wasn't surprised when their name came up. I was a little bummed that I had to drive all the way to S. Lamar to find them, but such is the way of rising rents in Austin.They're now in a tiny space halfway down the row in a strip-mall that looks rather industrial, but they're worth the hunt if you need quality photo imaging at a reasonable price. They turned around my rush project in record time, as they give priority to items needed for memorial/funeral services at no extra charge.I took them two more non-rush orders afterward, progressively larger each time, and each time, they came through with quality and on time as promised. Fantastic Local Business! Great service, wonderfully helpful staff and I always know that I will be well taken care of when I go to get photography work done there. I get all of my film processed here, both 35mm and medium format. They are always courteous and pleasant to deal with. They've got lots of options for processing and printing, along with some helpful services. I've done several very large prints on their Chromira with outstanding results Their communication is always great, if its phone calls or email, you will know whats going on with your order.My only criticism is of their prices for film, quite high compared to most other places. They do stock a lot and properly refrigerate it, which is nice.  If they did some price adjustments to be more competitive I'd be buying lots more product from them and not just using them for film development. I needed to get a wedding print enlarged. They were HONEST to tell me that the pic was a lower quality, & there wasn't a guarantee. But if I did a Canvas Wrap, it stood a better chance. I've been frequenting Holland photo for years now but recently was so blown away that I had to write sit down and review this place, finally. Last week I came up with a very last minute idea for a work presentation that involved large pictures of properties I show. Having had the worst week ever, neither my computer nor camera were working, leaving me with only my phone. I showed up to Holland Photo with a serious deadline and several photos only on my phone. They walked me through how to get the photos off my phone and to them and then worked magic. I would like to take the time to give a hearty endorsement to Holland Photo Imaging. Yesterday I uploaded an image to be printed. I hoped, that since they were local, it would just take a day or two for the print. I got an email confirming my order and that it would be ready by Friday. I emailed them back asking if there was any way it could be done sooner and explained why time was of the utmost importance (the print was for someone that was entering hospice care). Not only did they have it done by 4pm today, they waived the rush fee under the circumstances. I applaud them for their understanding and compassion. They have definitely gained a repeat customer.
