I have been working out with Matt for over 2 years. I have suffered from chronic degenerative disc disease in my neck and low back. Matt is very knowledgeable in muscle-skeletal function relative to certain injuries one may have. He specifically trained me to try and avoid surgery on my L-4 L-5. During this training I gained strength in my hips, quads and core. Unfortunately I aggravated the low back with lifting (not in the gym) something so it was time to have surgery-fusion. I put it off as long as I could. My surgeon has been extremely complimentary to the workouts and shape I was in prior to surgery. Matt at Hitz Fitness is very detailed from form to function and nutrition (his lawyer background was a win for me as it proved his dedication to detail and his constant desire to seek new knowledge and source out new research to stay on his "A" game). .. treats all his clients as number one ... I'm an online client I come down quarterly to have hands on with Matt to learn new techniques and keep my form on point..... Matt is an awesome trainer ... Very detailed orientated.... I currently work with him through his On line training program . .. What I love is his workouts are created for me specifically ... No cookie cutting... He focuses on your weakness and builds from there ... I'm also fortunate that I get to come to his facility quarterly for assessment, he is very open to this... Matt is a professional. I came in bloated, weak and pre-diabetic. After 4 weeks my body is changing in ways I had only imagined while sitting on the couch eating chips, watching PX90 commercials. With high school knee injuries and a hernia from being fat, Matt has customized my workout to not harm me, but build a strong core. My wife is now giving me that same look she did 10 years ago, and, ahem... its been GOOD. My kids no longer call me "fatty daddy". I am 41 and this has been the best investment that I've made in myself in years. I highly recommend Matt. Matt Hitzhusen is very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. I get value out of every single one of my training sessions and don't think I could get a better experience with any other trainer. I have injuries with my shoulder rotator cuff and knee ligaments which make it difficult for me to be able to work out and gain muscle. Matt has been able to work with me and listen to what my body and I am telling him. Exercises have been modified and added based on my conditions. He spends the time to take note of these things and this helps me to be able to feel comfortable and get the best results possible.
