Though the exterior appears to be dated, this hotel has good location, beautiful view of the Golf course and ocean visible from the balcony with chairs, and comfortable beds in a big room. We had to pay $30/day of Resort Fee (includes free parking). With Gold status, the breakfast buffet is $8/person, which is a great value for made-to-order omelette, Chilaquiles and waffles. Also there are hiking trials right next to the hotel. If you don't want to walk additional 30 minutes in the dark after watching sunset, you can drive your car closer to the parking lot. More...

As 2019 comes to a close, I reflect upon what I am most grateful for this year and my experience at Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines rises to the top of the list. I needed to travel to La Jolla to have surgery and was searching for hotels to stay in. I phoned the Hilton La Jolla and spoke with one of the assistant managers, Carmel, who was absolutely amazing. I spoke with her about my needs and I booked a five night stay. The hotel was close to the hospital in which I was having surgery so it was my intention to stay at the Hilton for just five nights and then recover more fully at a more secluded spa/resort.Well, my initial five night reservation turned into a full three week stay due to the fact that the staff was beyond exceptional, the property super nice, the room pristinely clean, and the food delicious and prepared to each and every specification I had. I truly believe that my recovery was so unbelievably quick due to the incredible attention to detail at the hotel and the care in which the staff here treated me.I can not possibly say enough great things about Kaori, Justin, Athena, Carmel, Valerie, and Ricky. I am truly grateful to them. From the moment of my arrival to my departure, my stay was beyond perfect and exceeded any expectation I could possibly have ever had because of them. I have stayed in some of the finest properties in the world, and my experience here was absolutely one of the best. BEAUTIFUL HOTEL ! My wife and I decided to drive up to Torrey Pines on Xmas Day for an exercise walk. After enjoying fabulous lattes at The Grill at Torrey Pines Lodge next door we went for a walk and ended up here. The hotel is much bigger than first appearances ( over 400 rooms ) and we wandered throughout checking out the awesome ocean view which most guests get to enjoy and the elegant restaurant. Marco the restaurant host was very helpful and let us peruse the lunch /dinner menus plus the invaluable DESSERT menu. The hotel was great. Well taken care of. Don't let the entrance fool you as it was quite underwhelming. The rooms are spacious and I think all have a balcony. The thing to keep in mind is you enter the lobby on the 3rd floor. The meeting rooms are on the first floor on the north end. There are four wings to the hotel and the furthest one north is quite a with no elevator. You have to use the 3rd wing elevator for the 4th (north) wing. Everything was good about the hotel except that the room I selected a day in advance was given to someone else and there was no attempt to make it right. Just had me choose a different room. Also when checking out, the room was in my name, but they had it tied to the conference master account and I was supposed to pay for it. They didn't try to make it right, but then today, they sent an invoice and said I hadn't paid for my room. I'm happy to pay for it as I was when I was there, but something is messed up with their system. Otherwise the hotel was great. More...

3 day stay Staff makes all the difference, TP Hilton has the staff "Bravo Zulu" Pool was fantastic and the view of the ocean was only Blocked by that funny big patch of grass and trees. Seems alot of chubby old guys lugging funny round suitcases yelling and little white object in the grass hitting them with crocked sticks, yelling again and then chasing after it. Stayd here for the second time attendig a business Summit! Great Hotel, with a great view over the golf course and the Pacific Ocean. I find the rooms fairly big, had a room with two queen beds, place to work, wifi connection all over the Hotel. They should maybe had one connection for everthing, you have to Log inn alot. Stayed at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines recently on business. I chose this hotel because it was nearby the work site that I was visiting. I was blown away by how beautiful the location is. The whole back of the hotel has a wonderful view of the ocean. The room price was reasonable for such a nice location.||||The food in the restaurant, while a little pricey, was delicious. Just got back from a stay here, what a great place. The hotel was nice but what really stood out was the staff. They were friendly and accommodating, from the cleaning staff, to the staff at the bar and restaurant, to the front desk staff. We had a problem with the event coordinator, who was NOT affiliated with the hotel, and the hotel staff bent over backwards to help us deal with it. I don't want to name him because I'm afraid they'll promote him and he won't be available to help guests any longer, but he deserves a shout out, Justin at the front desk was outstanding! He was juggling three things at once and still managed to be friendly and extremely helpful to my wife and I. Thanks to whoever does the hiring at the Hilton, your choice of staff is outstanding!! Love this luxury hotel! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted so gracefully from Dwight. He was more than happy to grab us a bell cart to put our luggage in. I stayed from Oct 30 to Nov 2 for 3 nights to relax and enjoy the Torrey Pines Golf Course which I have played 10 yrs ago buy not able to finish 18 holes due to tee-off time around 2:30 pm for both North and South Courses. || The services at Hilton is excellent especially the front desk , in-room dining and house keeping. Parking is easy right next to hotel . The food from in-room dining is super, the steak is great & delicious and paired well with my 2007 Pavillon de Margaux Rouge. The wine selection at the bar is great and services is very good and sincere. The pass from Hilton offered 15% discount on all purchases from the pro-shop of Torrey Pines ( except those with 2021 US open logo ).||I would come back to stay in Hilton La Jolly Torrey Pines next time I visited San Diego and will recommend it to my golf buddies & friends . We came for a three-day conference and spent four nights. Comfortable, quiet rooms. Beautiful grounds and sunsets. Lovely pool, and the restaurant was excellent. A buffet breakfast came with, and was a nice spread with lots of fresh fruit and options for vegan and gluten-free folks.
