Best service I've had at a downtown restaurant in ages! Great people that work there and awesome cocktails. I didn't eat but everything on the menu and everything that people were ordering around me looked amazing. Can't wait to go back and try their food!

Classy place. Beautiful high end interior design. High quality menu and food. A bit snobby and overpriced for my taste though, hence the three stars... However if you've got money to burn and want a quiet night out with a lady or guy friend, this is the place to be. Plan on dropping a couple hundred if you plan on dinner, drinks, and dessert for two.

Food was amazing and very good. It is a trendy restaurant but mostly has a new of presenting old favorites. The portions are on the small side as should be when presenting high quality meat, seafood and vegetables and fruits.

This is a quiet and classy place for happy hour. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and most menu options have a small and large size. The *small* salads are crazy big (large enough to share). It has a nice atmosphere and a much more reserved crowd than other downtown bar-restaurants. They have a nice beer selection, with several crafts. The downstairs area has a limited menu, but there is a larger (more extensive menu) for upstairs dining. The upstairs area is more formal, and the menu is more expensive. All in all, this is probably my favorite place to go in the downtown area.

Our lunch started with mystery water see photo. This was a gross start to a dreadful "meal". Food was cold and mac n cheese was crunchy and had an after taste. Choose better and go anywhere but here.

We decided on Revel for brunch because I've been to Roost for dinner and it was fantastic. I think they must have separate kitchens. First, our server Courtney was fabulous. I would give her 10 stars out of 5. Hands down best server ever. Only reason our visit was not the absolute worst. She was very friendly, very alert and we didn't wait for anything.

So why am I so extremely dissatisfied with Revel? Let's start with the food. We both had steak and eggs. We both ordered the steak medium. Both steaks came out very very well done. I'm not sure what cut they were but I'm thinking skirt steak or another very cheap cut. We did not send them back because they were edible and we don't like to cause problems but we really wish a manager had done a table check. Second, I ordered my eggs over medium. They came out with the white still runny. That's not over medium.

Let's continue with the drinks. We ordered the unlimited mimosas but it seems as though they are premixed with a very small "champagne" to orange juice ratio. I suspect they use Verdi.

Let's continue with the atmosphere. The restaurant was freezing. We thought it was us but as we left we noticed the thermostat. It was 57 degrees.

Pittsburgh has so many great dining choices especially for brunch. Don't waste your time with this one. Unfortunately, the excellent service was not enough to compensate for all of the other short comings.

I made reservations using Open Table and took my wife there on 2/10/18 for an early anniversary celebration dinner. It was everything I had hoped it would be. We ate upstairs at Roost where the vibe is a little more elegant than the very fun and cool-looking first floor. We had the Valentine's special 3-course meal and every course was utterly fantastic. The Braised Beef Short rib was my first course. My wife opted for the Winter Green Salad. I have to say those were possibly the best short ribs I've ever had. Flavor like crazy and they just fell apart they were so perfectly done. For the second course, we both opted for the Surf & Turf. This was a good sized Filet, 2 large Hokkaido Scallops, Mashed Potatoes & Green beans. We both loved every last bit of it. I ordered my filet Medium Rare. It may have been ever so slightly more done than that but still almost perfect. For our third course (desert), she had the Cheesecake and I had the Chocolate Decadence. Both were well dressed with fruit, perfectly sized and absolutely delicious. Our server, Aimee, was super attentive and showed up at just the right times to help a very romantic evening stay romantic. We will definitely be back to Revel + Roost!!

We went for restaurant week and the food was tremendous. Our server was excellent. We enjoyed a great three course meal with accompanying wine selections.

Really good food and expert staff. It's often said in the restaurant industry that it's not about the mistakes you make, but how you recover from them. Any problems with our large parties food was resolved swiftly and professionally. And that's not to say that their were many at all.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an elegant dining experience.

The food is very tasty, however the service is terrible. Nobody will greet you, and when you stand at the bar, nobody will take a drink order for at least 6-7 mins. If you come here, expect to wait for service, or save yourself some time and just flag somebody down. That being said, the food was decent and the drinks were nice when we got them. A little extra effort and this place could be very good.

Came here for breakfast brunch that they offer at the upstairs part. Not only was it very " continental breakfast style " but also pathetic. Your better off eating at the hotel lounge. And the breakfast I had order. The eggs Benedict was terrible. Not only was it late and forgot to my table but the ham was burnt and thick gross cut and hard. And all the staff just search confused when dropping food to a table. Will never come back.

Made a reservation 4 weeks in advance for light up night. I even got a call three days ahead of time to confirm my reservation. I arrived 10 minutes ahead of my reserved time to be told that it was only a prix fix menu upstairs for $65 with no choice and a 2 hour wait if I wanted to get a seat downstairs. I will never come back and highly recommend never going to a place which is so neglectful with its communication and advertising.

Stopped in for happy hour. They made my Manhattan right and the atmosphere was...strange. This place seems like it is not sure what it wants to be. Half noir lounge and half world music hipster hangout, I couldn't quite put my finger on the vibe. Not a bad thing, just different. Will stop again - just not sure when.
