We had Hicks Building Contractors put on a side extension and a kitchen diner. Leigh and his crew were an absolute delight to work with. From providing a very clear and understandable quote, being responsive on the phone when needed. His team were courteous, left a clean work site each day, and clearly took pride in their work. Leigh's relaxed and professional nature was a real comfort to us during the build. He worked really well with our architect and things were completed pretty much on time and within budget. I highly recommend Hicks Building contractors and would absolutely use them again for any other building work I need to do in the Future! More...

I could not praise this company any more if I tried. What Leigh says he does and nothing is a problem. He kept us informed right the way through our project and we are extremely pleased with the end result. Leigh and his team were professional but friendly and if truth be told we will miss having them around.We have already recommended this company twice since the completion of our work and I will continue to do so. Leigh and his team did a great job undertaking the demolition and rebuild of our chimneys, completing the job on time and with no fuss. Their craftsmanship with the brickwork was first rate. We have had a 2 story extension to our house done by Hicks Building contractors. The work was both competitively priced and done to a high standard. I was kept informed of when things were going to happen and they also project managed the work for me which reduced my stress levels. Having had a rogue trader bodge work previous, I was nervous finding a builder to trust. I found Leigh on recommendation from a friend who had a really nice extension completed. Leigh & Jimmy put me at ease and renewed my faith. Communication was very good from beginning to end, also with Local BC. No hidden surprises. Stayed to budget. Good advice. House left tidy every day. Trustworthy & punctual.Complete renovation of open plan living & dining room. This included foundation work with solid piers & steel to support load bearing wall -bodged by previous owner & rogue trader. Both ceilings & new steel with piers plastered to good standard.Structural work completed in kitchen -fitting two steels to support above floor & load. Also plastered.Bricked up unused door. Lintels fitted to window & doors with external brickwork made good to a high standard. So good it looks originally apart of the property!Will definitely be using Leigh & team again in the future. I hadn’t heard of this company prior to selecting them but I couldn’t have been happier that I did. Leigh Hicks the owner really builds trust and interpreted what we wanted to achieve really well. He listened and gave good advice and his team were very professional, polite and tidy.Our extension was completed on time an in budget and the quality is outstanding.
