Herriott Petz was started by Louise Herriott and today Izabela joins her. Between them they offer a very flexible service to a wide area of Sheffield.

Louise has over 20yrs experience caring for a wide range of animals and holds certificates in equine management and care and has an advanced certificate companion animal behaviour, izabela also holds a certificate in canine behaviour and they both hold current pet first aid certificates ..... you can rest assured your pet is in safe hands!

We believe in purely force free methods and always put your pets safety and welfare as our top priority.

Louise and Izzy are amazing! We trust them completely with our dog who gets very excited whenever she sees them. As a working mum with a toddler quite often plans can change at short notice. Louise and Izzy always do their best to accommodate us even at very short notice. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I have used Herriott Petz since my dog, Bronte was a puppy (almost 3 years). The service is efficient and reliable and Louise has been flexible to help at times to help with work/ family commitments. Louise is clearly a dog lover and this is reciprocated by Bronte who loves her group walks. I have recommended her to a number of other people.

Louise has been walking Spike, our Boston Terrier since 2010. The arrangement has been a huge success both for us and for Spike.

Spike is a nervous dog that has really benefitted from Louise’s careful and personalized approach. Originally, Spike wouldn’t even walk up our quiet road and thanks to her help and our collective approach he has come on significantly. We have learnt how to read our dog and others which has helped us become confident.

Louise has integrated him well within a small group of other dogs and he now has doggie buddies! We are delighted, as his social skills have hugely improved.

Louise is extremely knowledgeable about maintaining a healthy dog and we have asked her opinion on various things: ripped claws, diet, allergies etc.
During this period, Spike had a leg, eye and teeth operations during which Louise/Iza have adapted and helped us with his rehabilitation.

Louise & Iza have cared for Spike when we have been in holiday and he loves their company. We have absolute faith and trust in them and have every intention of maintaining our current arrangement.

Their professional and friendly approach makes Louise & Iza irreplaceable in our lives. When Spike has gone on holiday with us, he can’t wait to see her and his friends.

Reliable, warm and caring people who we can’t recommend enough. We love seeing clips on facebook and it brightens our days! Seeing how Spike is with them is an utter joy... he adores them. Plus our Spike actually has buddies now!

Thank you for being an important part of our lives.

Fantastic service.

My dog Mabel thoroughly enjoys her walks.. and is always really excited for the arrival of Isa or Louise.

I can’t recommend this company more highly. They are really reliable, offer great value for money and spend time getting to know your dog and understand your requirements.

Mabel started walking as a puppy and has since progressed to group dog walks. This has been fantastic to build her confidence and for her socialisation with other dogs.

Herriott Petz have offered fantastic advice since we have known them and will always try their best to accommodate. Mabel and us really would be lost without them!

We’ve just been away for a week and didn’t have anyone to look after our Guinea pig and two dwarf hamsters. Herriot Petz came to the rescue! They popped into our house every day to feed and clean our furry friends and kept me posted on how they were getting on. Will definitely be using again. Thank you x

We used herriott petz to drop in on our very nervous car Pablo when we went away for a long weekend. We were sent daily videos and photos and it was clear from when we returned that this was a much less stressful experience for him compared to going to a friend's house. PERFECT! Herriott Petz have been providing an ad hoc walking service for Bertie for a year or so. It’s often short notice but HP are always flexible and friendly, I’ve never felt like I couldn’t ask. The girls clearly love dogs and make Bertie so welcome. He loves going on pack walks with them and comes back tired and so much cleaner than when I take him!
Last week we took a family holiday and Louise moved in to take care of Bertie. He went to work with her everyday and then she was there for his cuddles in the evening too. I had no doubt he would get the best care but in addition to that I had peace of mind that the house wasn’t empty. The house was immaculate when we came back too. FANTASTIC SERVICE-HIGHLY RECOMMEND ��

Fantastic service. We went away for a long weekend recently and as we haven’t been in Sheffield for long we were agonising over the care for our 2 elderly Devon Rex cats and our Italian rescue dog Albertino. We were recommended Louise and she moved in for the time we were away. During the day she took Albert out with her on her regular dog walking rounds and returned at lunch time and in the evening to pamper Nelly and Gregory. We returned to a very happy household and we are relieved that we can call on HP anytime in the future. Wonderful!

What do you love most about your job?

I love all aspects of my job because i love animals! Dog walking is my main service and it honestly is so satisfying to see the dogs enjoy their walks so much, they form such great social bonds with each other it's lovely, I call it 'play school for dog's' they love it! Even the wettest of weather doesn't stop us from having fun!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Iv been looking after animals since an early age, voluntary as a young girl and after my education finished in a professional manner. I started my own business beacause at the time I could see there was a demand for the services I offer. I was already working looking after horses and doing behaviour consultants for a leading behaviour practice and one day just decided to take the leap into being my own boss... The best decision I ever made, now I'm not limited to just dog's and horses but a wide range of different animals, from baby Indian tortoises to degu's, it's amazing!
