When our original venue was shut down by the city of Seattle just 14 days before our wedding we were SO lucky to have Herban Feast suggested to us. We had the pleasure of working with Matt Tamayo. Even with the major time crunch, he never made us feel like he was doing us a favor. He was incredibly professional and kind. Matt met us for our venue tour with a big smile on his face and ready to help make our wedding day the best day ever. He was sincerely honored that we were considering his two venues and when we selected Sodo Park, he worked tirelessly to put together the exactly right proposal that was respectful of our budget and gave us everything we needed to host the perfect event and have a wedding day to remember. Not only was the venue beautiful, the staff all day was wonderful. Things like set up, room flip, food and drink service and tear down were all seamless. Since the timing was so quick we did not have a chance to try the food beforehand. Luckily, we had attended two weddings at their other venue, The Foundry and were confident the food would be great. It did not disappoint. We had several guests rave to us about how much the loved their meal. We are so grateful to Matt and Herban Feast for helping us to make our wedding day dreams come true. Herban Feast catered our 130-person wedding in Seattle. Due to dietary restrictions we asked for the entire menu to be gluten-free (including bread, waffles, fried chicken, pasta, and desserts! ), and Herban Feast gave us plenty of gluten-free options to choose from. Beautiful venue for a wedding. Nice covered seating area for reception dinner. Garden is mature and we'll kept. Catering staff seemed seemed mostly quite professional. My wife and I used Herban Feast for our wedding reception catering and can't say enough positive things about the experience. We consider ourselves to be a bit picky and particular when it comes to food and weren't about to be any different for our wedding. After the planner we were working with left HF to take another job, the owner, BJ, took over responsibility for planning our catering.BJ listened to our specific requests and helped us to create a totally custom menu. He was actually quite excited about our event and menu because of the custom nature of it. He to implement some of what we wanted, he actually had his team build custom, one of a kind containers to serve/present some of our food in the style we were going for. He also brought flowers, gourdes, and other decorative items from his own farm to accent the food decor presentation.Needless to say, his attention to what we really wanted, and follow through over the course of the experience, was exceptional. As for the food, my wife and I joked that our guests were too busy gorging themselves and enjoying the custom fair to visit with us as we walked around to see everyone.
