Absolutely loved visiting each time to organise my wedding dress and my Mums dress. Not only did I change shape drastically between trying the dress on and the wedding (pregnant 🥰🥹) but I came out with something picked by Harriet I would never have tried myself that fit perfectly and made me feel floaty and pretty on my wedding day. Any adjustments to my dress were quick / easy and it looked so pretty with the detailing. I was so happy after my fittings that my husband and his best man actually got suits at the Fox House! We had our wonderful wedding on 8th Oct 2022 and I am not sure any words can do Ceri and Harriet justice. I popped into Ceri's shop in 2019, just wanting to try on some styles. I always knew I wanted a red dress, something a bit Gothic, so I'd probably have to get it made. During that appointment, Ceri and I got chatting and it turned out she had bought some gorgeous red lace, with no idea what to do with it. The stars had aligned! Two years, two postponements and way more than two dress size increases later, my big day came and I got the absolute dress of my dreams. Ceri is a true artist, the unrivalled best at what she does! She is forthright and will tell you when something isn't working, but that's what you want! She will go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and that you look your absolute best. And if the dress isn't perfect, she won't let you walk away with it until it is. Harriet is also an absolute superstar, running the operational side of things and organising her mum's schedule. She is the backbone of the business! I really felt that Ceri and Harriet were both truly invested in my dress and my theme. They said they were excited to do something "a bit different" but I always knew I was in safe hands. Ceri came to my venue to dress me, and I could've cried on her because I just felt so beautiful - and she was a big part of making that happen. I should add that Ceri also made my Mum's dress (even though she lives two hours away!) and Bob organised my father and father in laws' suits. They were all over the moon with their outfits and my mum is now Ceri's second biggest fan (after me). I now consider Ceri and Harriet true friends, and would recommend them to any bride in need of that special dress. More...

I got married in September 2021 and honestly cannot recommend Hen House enough! They were so incredibly accommodating, and made me go from a very anxious and overwhelmed bride to a relaxed and confident bride! They took all of my opinions and thoughts into account, and created me a dress which was beyond my wildest dreams. I used the Hen House Brides for alteration work. And even though I didn’t purchase my dress from them, they all still made me feel very welcome. I was even told “You’re one of our brides now”. I couldn’t have been happier with how my dress turned out. From changing the boning, taking it in and up, to the extra detail that went into making a special detachable lace bracelet for me to be able to hold my dress up in the evening. It was all perfect ! I also had my bridesmaid dresses altered there. Along with my flower girls dress - where I originally spoke about adding a green sash. But instead, I was given the idea of adding in tiny green knots on to the top section of the dress around the lace detail - so it didn’t take away any attention from the dress itself. Great idea ! My mum also purchased her hat from the hen house brides. They were very accommodating in helping her try on different sizes and even personalised it by adding touches of pink to match it in with her dress/ accessories. 5/5 stars. Highly recommend ! More...

I came to hen house having been let down by another seamstress and wow I’m so glad I did. Cerri was amazing from start to finish, it was obvious she knew what she was doing and I was very confident leaving my dress in her very capable hands! The customer service was 2nd to none and Cerri even offered to keep my dress in store right up until the wedding day (baring in mind it wasn’t even her own made dress). I come to the hen house after a few issues with another bridal store, with only 4 weeks to go until my wedding Karen done everything in her power to help me and I ended up coming out with my dream dress.
