Owners beware not at all what you think. Abuse does go on at doggy day care behind the walls

Facility is unclean with extreme health risk to the dogs (kennel cough etc) and understaffed due to chronic high employee turnover. The result of this poorly run business, is staff that is has not been trained to take care of the business side of things such as money, much less the dogs. After a particularly troublesome experience with the staff being unable to find evidence of my advance payment and the owner Shannon Oliver screaming at me rudely because I could not hear her (BTW ...I am hearing impaired). I requested a refund and was told by Shannon that I was entitled to a full refund. The owner later changed her mind and stated I was not entitled to a refund because I did not bring my dog in for day care?!?!??! I did not bring my dog in because I had opted for refund and had to wait until the ravages of kennel cough in her facility subsided and my husband could contact the owner on my behalf as I found her to be extremely nasty rude. Bottom line is ..... AVOID AVOID AVOID this facility unless you approve of chaos and unhealthy conditions for your dog as well as having to deal with unstable employees and owner. Now she is sending my husband nasty long crazy emails. One star was required to post this review but to be honest - the facility and owner get a zero. More...

The owner is very rude. We filled out all the paper work and were waiting for her to respond. We called three times and emailed her once however it took a few days for her to get back to us. Her late spotty late responses resulted in us to not have a place to keep our dog. After we finally got a hold of her she told us we couldn’t have our dog stay at the place. She didn’t even seem to sympathize with us; she said that it was our fault. Very unkind person not one I would trust with a dog. Our two dogs, Niko and Teague, love going to daycare! The whole crew is amazing and take such good care of our pups... Niko can be more shy and awkward and Teague is outgoing and sassy- It’s great to know that they work with their individual personalities and they both get to make friends and love their time there. I work at Hello, Doggie Daycare and Shannon is an amazing boss and caretaker! I have worked at another kennel in Maine, and my experience at Hello, Doggie both as an employee and a dog lover has been incredible. She keeps all dogs safe, on site, and constantly under supervision! Even overnight! The dogs get to snuggle with Shannon and her pups so they feel right at home. Every personality is kept in mind, as a behavioral evaluation is done with every new dog! Safety and comfort is of the most importance!!! Plenty of space, love, pools, sprinklers, etc!!!! Hello Doggie is my sanity. Having an adolescent puppy is hard some days and I need a break. It's such a relief to have a place where he enjoys going so much. He is always eager to enter the building and to greet the staff. You can tell he has fun when he's there. At the end of the day he comes home calm and tired, which is exactly why I bring him. Hands down best doggie daycare in the area. My pup had some extra energy issues that caused her to not be able to relax at home. We took her to see Shannon (who I've known for many years) and my pup loved daycare. She has ample to play and burn energy but also has activities to work her super strong mind. I am beyond impressed by this doggie daycare and would recommend it to others. Also, the 3 negative reviews are 100% fake. Great daycare and a probably the most affordable around the area. Please ignore the bad reviews accusing Shannon of abuse. These are being done by the same person who was terminated by the business. Our dog is extremely sensitive and you cannot even raise your voice around him without him being submissive and he is never more excited than when I drop him off here. Hello Doggie! is a wonderful place to bring your dogs! I have three dogs, two are rescues, and the staff is amazing. Shannon really understands dogs and has helped our family with some problem behaviors. My rescue dogs both hate men, but they love Chris! I got my first dog a few weeks ago and knew I wanted to bring her to doggie daycare, and heard great things about Hello Doggie. I get sent videos and photos all the time from the owner, Shannon Oliver, of my happy little puppy playing with her new friends! My dog had a fantastic first day here! Previous daycares have reported high levels of stress from barriers, but the staff here was very mindful of his separation anxiety and helped him feel at ease. It’s clear that the staff take the time and effort to get to know each and every dog and their unique needs. Shannon radiates love and positive energy for the dogs and her natural gift with animals shows with each interaction.
