Helen Richmond Photography
Cirencester , Gloucestershire(3 Reviews)
Helen Richmond Photography is based in Cirencester providing photography for weddings, life events, newborns, children, families and horse and dog owners.
I specialise in using natural light on location. Your chosen location. This may be your garden, local park or favourite walk. For precious newborns this can either be at your home , to keep things nice and easy, or at my studio. Horse photo shoots are at your yard and then out to a favourite local spot.
My signature shots are those that show interactions and connections between people, and between people and their animals. I enjoy taking photographs that show people being themselves and having fun. And I love creating photography collections for clients that capture their truest moments.
After your shoot, you will be able to view your photos in the comfort of your own home, as I return with a slideshow of all your images. My gorgeous products are carefully chosen to showcase your images to their best. These include prints, memory boxes, wall art, photo books, albums and jpegs.
I pride myself on giving a personal service that you will love.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
That's a good question.
I love to take very natural shots in available light, of subjects that move all the time. People and animals. Moments that can never be repeated, ever.
So for me, I have be a good observer and be super quick pressing the shutter!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What inspired you to book Helen Richmond Photography?
The answer to this question is very important to me, as this gives me an idea about which of my marketing strategies are working, and more importantly, which ones are not!
I also like to ask, "If I could wave a magic wand, which 3 photos would you like to have from your shoot?"
This gives me a real idea about what my client is looking for. Ultra important info for me, to make sure my clients are happy, and come back to me time and again.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting people and helping them to get the photographs they want.
I love to see my clients enjoy their photo shoots, and above all, relax and have fun!
I love being able to capture the bond between people, and people and their animals.
I love the honour of being chosen to take photographs of newborns at home and a bride preparing for her wedding ceremony. Fleeting moments like these are a joy to photograph.
I love my job!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Helen Richmond Photography emerged from a mix of experiences:
I grew up on a small holding, and having been a recent horse owner, I have a good understanding of, and know how to handle many animals. I just love animals.
Having been a primary school teacher for 13 years, I have a good idea about what makes children tick. I love the innocence and enthusiasm of children.
After meeting the 'man of my dreams' I also know the excitement and joy surrounding life events like getting married, welcoming a newborn, a church Christening. I love the emotion of weddings. And the preciousness newborns.
Comments from friends about my eye for a good photograph made me think about a new career...
And the rest, they say, is history!
Why should our clients choose you?
You will really like the way I look after you as one of my clients, at every step of your journey, with Helen Richmond Photography. You will like the way I can help you to relax and enjoy your photo shoot experience with me. And, above all, you will love your images I show you in the comfort of your own home. Portraits that are gorgeous and natural shots that resonate with emotion and that will stand the test of time.

Cotswolds Hare Trail 2017
My photographic design for my very own hare for the trail in 2017, was accepted in the spring this year. Yippee! Mine has now arrived and will be the first hare to be decorated. She has to be ready for the end of October 2016, in order to be displayed and used, to promote the whole Cotswolds Hare Trail. My design had to have a link to the past and so I will be photographing the Roman animal mosaics at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester. Images of hares, foxes, deer and hounds will be printed onto tissue paper before being stuck onto my 5 ft hare, and then varnished. We are trying to find an indoor location for my hare to help protect her from the elements! Find out more: www.cirencestermarchharefestival.org.uk Join me on Facebook to see how my hare is progressing...
